I just had a heap of work done to my ba xr6t and the tune was set for 15psi, the mechanic warned me about having a sticky actuator. I would put my foot down get 15psi then straight back to 6 and sometimes wouldnt even hit the 15. Now have turbo mod done with 10psi actuator and holding boost all day long. Edit: Also on idle my gauge reads between -18 to -20 vac

Thanks for that JVK, this all started happening after getting the turbo mod done. I can hear the turbo spinning after turning the car off even though I idle it for a min or 2. The turbo core was replaced a while ago and the housing and core were inspected during turbo mod and no issues at the time. Ive just bought a new fuel filter and will fit shortly as I never replaced it when changing fuel pump and injectors. Why does the sound dissapear after it warms up for a few mins

BP Ultimate is where I got the bad fuel batch from otherwise I have always used them. When starting the car this morning with the Vpower it sounded so much worse then it did yesterday with the BP Ultimate. Im uploading vids to youtube from yesterday and today will post links soon. It may not even be a ping I have had a allot of work done in the last few weeks and never heard the car ping before so I dont really know the sound.

Im going to go buy some dyno time at RDP to see if my results change at all. At the end of the day no matter what the different dynos show the vehicles run no different if run in same mode unless you caught some good/bad fuel. It just comes down to how well the dyno has been calibrated.

It looks like you have one hell of a beast there. Hopefully ill get to see it around some time.

It seems anyone with a 6 speed managers to make a fair bit more power. Do the 4 speeds in these really rob that much power?

Drained and filled with VPower 98 will see how it goes on a cold start in the morning.

Hey guys, Just had my car retune after the last set of mods im on my second tank of fuel and am sure my engine is pinging, sounds like marbles tapping together in my engine and sounds worse when it revs. I run bp 98 ultimate from a busy servo my tuner says it must be bad fuel. Any thoughts and whats the best way to drain a fuel tank in these guys?

Thanks arronm, Im not trying to run a tight budget as there's no point wasting money on cheap stuff. I dont want a loud beast though lol.

Yeah it was just on dyno 2 days ago. Im concerned as changing the exhaust wont make the difference im chasing the only other stuff to do is crossover pipe and intake plenum plus a surge tank. That will be down the track but I shouldnt be having to go that far for just 300 surely

No not yet, keen to get it there though. Ive got new atomik heavy duty valve springs recently fitted. I have spent about 10k in the last month on it.

Yeah they fitted a venom 3.5" dump and a 100cpi cat joining to the original exhaust Maybe its worth jumping on another dyno. The power feels great im just worried im running to much boost for too little power

Hey guys, Just had KPM 1000cc injectors installed and can hear a consistant ticking in engine bay. Been advised its the injectors. Normal or bad?

I have been told there dyno generally reads lower then others. He basically said the catback is restricting it. I thought I should be cracking 300 easy with these mods
