    Hey all, I'm trying to dig through the forum to find who the SA guys used for suspension installation. I did a fair bit of damage a month back, a decent launch (usually it spins, it stuck this day) resulted in all the diff bushes torn, diff moved a hell of a lot and the ford workshop said I destroyed my tailshaft center bearing (from excessive diff movement?) I've decided on solid bushes and am just going to do it all at once - 2009 F6 so it's probably due for new everything. I think I'll get my shocks from interstate (suspension wholesalers)and get the solid bushes from interstate too (super pro). This is unless someone can recommend local equivalent products or better. I'm replacing all suspension and bushes...and a custom tailshaft from Adelaide tailshaft service (heavy wall pipe) My cars a manual. Any advice of personal experiences with workshops in Adelaide would be greatly appreciated. Cars got to be fixed ASAP, was supposed to be getting new bits put on and tuned but then this happened.

    Mine was diff bush and a failed centre bearing on tail shaft. The noise was the tail shaft tapping around the cradle. Once it's spinning - it's silent

    Believe it or not - You're not the first person....So I'd recommend using the search function mr fisher. One thread is even a sticky - meaning its always up the top and easy to find.

    Does it do it when the car is up to operating temperature or generally within the first 10minutes of driving from a cold start? If it's after a cold start - it's normal.

    Studded tyres? May need replacing every 20 or 30 km though

    ^ yea nothing more fun than changing 200 liters of aquarium water every week.

    I have an 8 foot marine aquarium...that equates to zero free time.

    Everything's magically sorted and the car seems to behave better too since putting in a new battery - optima yellow top. Even fits in the factory battery box.

    Ah ok, well stay friends with that repair shop mate, that's a good price. Due to the damage extent mine was a little more. There was a lot of cable tie action and sikaflex used. Intercooler and aircon condenser were both bent (still are) They trial fitted everything (before welding) to ensure a nice finish then striped down again to weld in/paint before fully assembling everything again. Required aircon regassing etc. They had the car 5 days making sure it's done properly. I'm going after the previous repairer with the invoice. All the "repairs" were done by him and paid for previously. So he ripped the previous owner off about a grand in parts that he claimed to have replaced but clearly were not.

    It was the cheapest quote around. Your post before saying $250 for the part and $150 labor makes me wonder if we're talking about the same thing.

    Rad supports in... $1,000 labour to replace everything. Turns out it's a major operation to do right. All good now. Don't attempt it yourself unless you're handy with a grinder, welder and can re-gas an aircon afterwards.

    Yea I'd noticed my aircon would engage too. Good to know it may be battery related too. I've had random airbag faults and the dreaded orange triangle show up once just after starting. Yellow top optima arrives Tuesday. Should be right after that.

    My car (2009 FG F9) seems to have a destroyed battery. Barely started today after 5weeks of sitting in the garage. Took it for a drive to get petrol, started fine after filling up. Drove home (20mins). About an hr later I went to go out - car wouldn't start, very flat! Gave up but noticed the dash had an odd message on the screen "Transition not in park" My cars a manual... The message won't go away.

    ^ planning on it. Got all the parts at home. New mounts, new rad support and new headlights. Headlight were disappointing, full replacement due to one broken mount point :/

    $450 for the rad support alone (new). $495 was the next cheapest price I found

    ^ it'll be a month . Flying back to work Sunday :(

    ^ already got the cooler, was supposed to put it in yesterday while the bumper was off, but then I found the mess behind the bar. Got my new rad support today. When I get time to fit it I'll take a few photos and notes for reference should anyone else need it, there is nothing online to assist anyone trying this them self.

    Are you aware if its a welding job or not? I'm not confident enough to go welding the thing on. been searching online for a few hours now..starting to look like I'm parting with $2k for a claim.
