Ok then, lose any low down power and torque ?? What sort of power with basic supporting mods will it put out on 15 psi say ?

Is there any turbos out there with better power for similar prices that bolt straight on ??

As said less kms the better really, unless you're replacing internals etc as well which would cost a packet. Sounds like a decent buy though, just ensure it's been looked after (right oils, service times etc.) Good luck.

Yeh the evos do have them standard, so do STI's with their top mounts. Can be pretty handy on mild hot days but did bugger all on the really hot days. After all, the water your spraying still gets bloody hot to.

Na all good mate..... comparing AWD to RWD is completely different anyway. Off the line and rolling start are 2 different stories as I've known with my previous car. Certainly power is one thing but actually being able to use the power is another !! Regardless both nice cars and both have their uses ! . PS. Gotta take me for a spin in both your cars !!!

Yeh custom tune is more but it's also much safer and preferable imo. Every vehicle is different so therefore your tune should also take this into consideration. I'd also look at getting a cooler as you'll have problems with major heatsoak on the hotter days and won't be all that safe when pushing the car.

You could get a FG for 25,000 if you wanted to. Weaker engine though imo. Depends what you want I guess. I prefer the look of the BFMK2's as well but that's my opinion. When I was looking there was nothing in Victoria, had to get mine down from NSW. Maybe try SA and QLD ?? Seen a cpl of ok ones in the last 6 months from a dealer in WA too.

Generally not a good sign of it being looked after then ay . Take your time mate, I'm sure you'll find one soon .

Yeh that is strange. Mine had been serviced every 7500kms. And only thing I could fault with the interior is a couple of tiny scratches. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a regular 2 year old car. And still has 8 months factory warranty to !

Did the same as you mate, waited for ages for a clean car and ended up getting a 08 BFMK2 for 22 grand with under 50 thousand on the clock. Had premium sound, suspension and brakes to . Good deal if you ask me !! Don't be afraid of ex cop cars, just make sure theres no massive damage to them and good service history !! Very happy with mine .

Exactly 270 (much more comparible over a figure of 350rwkw). The point im trying to make is 350rwkw is alot over the expected output that ford said it had in it. Obviously it's got more but if it has that much why understate it nearly 100rwkw ?? More to the point why doesnt it run a better time down the track ?

Yeh we know that mate, not what we are talking about here though. If it's still made that much power its a ridiculous number and not really believable at all. Hence why people are trying to figure out what the hells going on. that's all .

Yeh as said you'll get easily over 300rwkw, probably between 320 and 360rwkw depending on boost levels. Other than that not too much difference other than as already said with the stonger bottom end from 06/06. I've just bought a late 07 BFMK2 and already want to mod it !! lol

I'm sure the GT will be a great car but all I'm saying is theres no way that it can produce that much power with a 12.9 best time slip. It's not hard to juice dyno figures either but I'd like to see some comparos on different cars on different dynos. If Ford's stated the power is 335kw at the engine then theres absolutely no way there should be a 90kw difference and read 350kw at the wheels !

Na that's stupid !! How the hell can people say its got roughly 335 at the engine (obviously give or take 10%) but making 335rwkw is just dumb !!!! And if they do make that much power then clearly they need to work on delivery because 335 - 350rwkw is atleast under 12 seconds and that havn't shown even close to that !!

Yeh mate as others have said, basic mods will get you low 300's. Add porting and actuator to the list and see quite abit more again !

The GT is meant to be pushing out 335 at the engine. If it's pushing out 350 at the rears then it's just crazy !! Completely unrealistic especially considering the 1/4 times it's run.

Definately ^^ !! Either that or they put the boost up 5 - 6 psi to make another 90rwkw !!
