  5. And I seen it while watching the v8's at queensland raceway, I reckon its a good add too Shane
  6. It does look like a quality job Its also a pretty big turbo for a small engine too Shane
  7. Mines april 04 and the same as davos Shane
  8. It doesnt anymore mate, its already added to the castrol stuff Shane
  9. I use castrol safxa and I change it every 20,000. Its still fairly clean though but I dont really give the T a hard time Shane
  10. I hate it when those f*cking poles jump out in front of you Much damage? ← I wasnt actually driving, someone from ford was....dropped it off for some warranty work. He was reversing with eyes shut I assume and turned the wheel too early and hit a pole, need a new front guard and a bumper repair Shane
  11. I wouldve went, but due to a slight mishap with a pole my ute is in the panel shop til monday Shane
  12. Hope you enjoy your new T as much as most of us do Shane
  13. Not a fan either Shane
  14. Now who's going to be the test muel for it Shane
  15. I had goldie do my springs, I didnt get a retune...it ran perfect and felt like it went a bit better...and a new pb to show for it Shane
  16. Theyre nice utes, I have 2 mates that have the auto v6's. They have plenty of get up and go for what they are but very thirsty. They would probably use more than your T One mate made it from rainbow beach to springwood on a tank of fuel, about 330 km's from memory.....but he was towing a boat I suppose Shane
  17. So I guess that means I have to get the capa flasher reset, then go back to my tuner and get the tunes flashed back into the box? Shane ← if u flashed your ecu back to stock, all you have to do is reflash it with your custom or generic map and it should be fine, its only when they reflash over your custom or generic maps is when you have a problem. ← I was under the impression that if I now flash my custom tune back in then I want to take it back to ford again and flash the factory tune back in, it will install the factory tune that the ute first came with (the one that is already installed in my capa box)....not the updated tune that ford will have on their records. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Shane

  19. I recently took my ute to ford for a couple of minor warranty issues like the steering shudder and a minor coolant leak. I have the edit, so I flashed the standard program in before taking it back. After looking at the bit of paper that they give you which shows what work they performed it says at the bottom of the page, check for recalls.......carry out PRGC309A. Does this mean that they have flashed an updated program into the ecu? Shane
  20. Im sure Ian uses Peformance springs, had mine done a couple of months ago by him.....done a real good job too Shane

  23. I had a heat shield rattle every time on a cold start...and it sounded like sh*t so I jacked it up pulled the heat shield that covers the cat off and cut the back 2/3rds of it off and refitted it and it hasnt made a rattle since. I know some people dont want to take it off because its their for a reason.....but have a think of all the people who have an aftermarket exhaust and who run high power and dont have the heat shields.......and they dont have any problems. I wouldnt remove the heat shield around the turbo though....the exhaust manifold glows red quite easily after some spirited driving Shane
  24. I have a Toshiba Qosimo F10 that would be coming up to a year old and am very happy with it....and would buy another toshiba when the time comes. But in all honestly, ive only ever watched a couple of dvds on it without booting windows and havnt yet tried to watch tv on it! So id say unless you are actually going to use the multi-media capabilities of it, you would prob be better off getting a different model....might save a few dollars? Shane
  25. Thanks mate. It was an eventful night (apart from the all the farken waiting around - 2 runs in 5 hours - but at least I got 2 in - a few blokes only got 1 ) Firstly ran the [email protected] - happy as a pig in sh!t about that. I managed to get back to the staging lanes for a third run and was the last car to run on the night - got to the start line - bloke taps on the window and tells me I'm dropping water. Backed the car up and pop the bonnet - had about a 1inch split in one of the hoses near the drivers side firewall No tools of course and most people had headed home (this is about 10:45pm). Thankfully a Security bloke helped me out with a torch and a screw driver and Al (cooltint) was still hanging around and had some blades in his glovebox. Cut about 2" from the end of the hose and had enough left to refit. So I fill the reservoir up with water and off I go. Stop at the servo to put some air back into the tyres - sitting waiting for another bloke to finish with the air hose and this girl backs into me. I saw her coming and thought "She's not gonna stop!" so I jumped on the horn - good 3 seconds or so before she finally stops - after collecting my bumper - then she drives off, but stops on the other side of the servo. But guess what - the plastic bumpers are actually good for something - no damage. Anyone remember the other thread about "Jinxed and Blessed". It's happened again! Some good, some bad, but all good in the end really. I think I'm a pretty lucky b@stard really. Oh, forgot to mention that when I finally got to the air hose it was leaking - clamp was loose, so had to fix it too before I could put air in the tyres ← sh*t mate, you did have an eventful night!...and congrats on your pb....that's moving! I must have used the same air hose as you did because it leaked like a sieve! Shane
