Hopefully the BOM is correct and showers are in the afternoon tomorrow, as I was going to get up on the roof and check the gutters etc before Winter really hits us. I have a gum tree next door so every time I get home for the weekend there's bark and leaves every f*cking place.

Yep, we have new email and web security appliances, so of course there's teething problems, which is not impressing some of the staff that now can only get to Failbook etc. between 12 - 2PM. Considering the last place I worked, I saw the impact people sitting on social media all day has on their colleagues that then have to work around them or worse take up their workload, I definitely understand why it's been done.

So as I've been staying at dad's during the week & going to my place on weekends, I've noticed - especially when I've missed a weekend due to working the weekend too - the battery is so low that sometimes it takes a while to turnover before starting. So I found this group of posts recommending battery chargers and I have a few question. As my battery is in the boot, is there a charger I can plug in, that I can close the boot and set the car alarm etc or are the cables too thick for the boot to close? Or would this be dangerous due to build up of gasses seeping into the cabin from he boot? If that is a thing. This will only be for the car, any recommendations out of these ones? https://www.projecta.com.au/chargenmaintain-features Our web security appliances do not like any of Jets links: Based on your organization's access policies, access to this web site ( https://I.loli.net/2019/06/06/5cf8aae9e08f858907.jpg ) has been blocked because the web category "Pornography" is not allowed. I hope this doesn't spell the death of Racewars as I quite liked going https://thewest.com.au/news/albany-advertiser/cams-slams-fatal-racewars-event-ng-b881207403z I was hoping to go as a competitor next year if I get dads affairs sorted in time. I haven't been on the forums or social media for months what with sorting out dads stuff and moving our company to it's new home in Subiaco, so I don't know if it ever made the news of the dad saying the son had swapped cars, which I don't see as being a failure on Racewars part. -

It's more the fiddle farting around and waiting for third parties that does my head in. Luckily where I work - a home loan lender - I have plenty of people that have had to deal with deceased estates both personally and professionally that I can talk to, so I should be fine. The really interesting one will be the letter dad was supposed to send to the Minister in response to the absolute incompetence of the Builders Registration Board and the State Administrative Tribunal. Dad trusted the system and they failed miserably - BRB for example in their conclusions admitted the builder was guilty of multiple transgressions but put "No Action" for each one. One of which was the fact the builder went back 5 times to fix certain things, didn't do so and the lady at BRB noted the builder said "They had no intention of going back and fixing the problem". There's also the fact a document that was submitted to the City of Stirling had a faked signature of dad's, yet no-one from BRB or SAT recommended the builder be looked at for possible fraud charges. -

What fine print? Dad asked me 6 months ago out of the blue and off the cuff I said yes, I mean what else do you say to a family member? Not sure how she is related to the poor bloke but I see there's a memorial cruise posted up for him for this Saturday on Lynda Ford's Failbook page, I can't make it but maybe others might want to go. https://www.facebook.com/lynda.ford.547 -
Wow this Racewars crash is getting interesting. Apparently BPT just finished doing some work on the car https://www.facebook.com/pg/bptmotorsport.com.au/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2527770527295178&__xts__[0]=68.ARDG6b66oLtVBMcO2il1H1MMpXvSLcqyYnWu_n0Shby-Uo0Gyc_dci2-mk7SDDhXuQ1zXBWTitqKG9dO81nfOpOY-fO2uMflQFJhhEpAVoiAl5UNJFkYjA-Vc8dUPZDBPZ91_9WaxdX7odjzPi5f9nBRl26DhnuwzNQihagwWUSNZrX4HyXFSpfBJx1SC3KjCANZVKzJZDxpXi1-ILR5_G3Wu5cPgTxxHHpdK4XXJ5CRJEyoXNoqWsNRnnIwQvvRt8mwsaYY3nhhVvEY3NemGQkTr_Nud0VxyrXB0S3o_mvksqdpscu3uv3_GzA5h7Ur765x7FKfNgkTBm2Mk5pv40GK-rmagaqPjK2P5HOiva8hIhX0KFnYLrja7rG0MF0zZo6N2hXaTahau6R2EnqE5KhmtuBb2k-oXqcooIzDdMDikpIhDvGR9aXkKzvKoVtvappECxF29PHB9wI&__tn__=-UC-R Plus it appears the dad was supposed to race and swapped his band with his son, I only just found this out as one of the ladies here went down with her husband who knows one of the organisers.

Missed going this year, the last 6 months have been trying to help the old man out of his health issues, then he passed on Feb 15 and it's been all fun and games organising stuff since. DO NOT EVER AGREE TO BE AN EXECUTOR OF A WILL is all I will say. -
Saw this in the local paper which gave me a little chuckle.

"for ensuring everyone else that they're responsible for pulls their weight" Maybe in your industry but most places I've worked, most are more worried about building their little "kingdom's", hence why we have so many Team Leaders that actually do 90% of what the Mangler's do. "Unless you've actually done their role for some time, how would you even know what they actually do on a day-to-day basis" Who do you think does their job when they go on leave? I've covered for many Managers over the years, I'm the one they go to when they need to know how something works/how to solve a problem or who they need to speak to and what to say to solve a situation.

Let's face facts, it's idiots with titles that tend to do the most damage in companies, they also get paid more money than the ones that ACTUALLY do any work in an organisation. So yeah you bet I'm going to B1tch about them Yay for Christmas party day. So if you see an old fart sticking his head out of the sunroof of a Commondore with a drink in his hands, along the Graeme Farmer Freeway on the way to the Casino, it's probably me.

So we get this email this morning about dress code, so I emailed HR back because I've seen staff get caught out before in the last place I worked, when Manglement decided they were customer facing because they dealt with staff. The wording in the email is: For example, on days when you’re working in the office and have no fixed meetings with stakeholders you might choose to wear casual dress. Whereas when you’re seeing clients/external stakeholders, you might think either business dress or a Company name polo is more appropriate. I emailed back with: Hello Dan, Technically IT staff’s clients are the staff, so would it therefore mean we still stick to business dress and the work polo shirts? That was two hours ago and I know he's read the email - the Server logs show it - and I bet he's going to come back with "Ask your Manager" because no-one's thought this through. I'm on a roll with showing how little people plan in this place lately, I put one Mangler's nose out of joint a few weeks back when I stated that 95% of the work is done by the staff and the Mangler's get paid the extra to make the few hard decisions and sign off some paperwork. I then followed up with, "Because I would really like to see how you go on the phones with customers." Crickets after that comment, it was in front of staff too and no-one from HR has had a go at me because that would get back to the staff so fast the negative response would give the entire Manglement team whiplash. People learn pretty quickly not to annoy David from IT in this place.

That explains Rab's avatar then.

This is absolute gold

Nope, Three other IT staff here have used them and speak very highly of them. One moved on from his HIK Visions and is most impressed with the quality versus the price.

I'm hanging out to see if there's anything in the news about the cops being in the carpark over the East Perth IGA yesterday afternoon. I got out of the lift with another staff member and there was a cop car parked across from us. I got to my car a few minutes later and saw a plain clothes walk out the stairwell on the radio, so I waited whilst I warmed up the car and a grey FG-X with two plain clothes wearing vests went past me. Then Rob's friend who works hear says when he got to the parking, there was another marked car parked up, a green VS with the bonnet and boot open and two blokes on the ground in cuffs. The car is still there apparently - I parked on a lower level today so didn't notice - with the bonnet and boot open. He was impressed with what he saw, he mentioned it had some money spent on the engine, like a COME racing manifold (he knows his stuff considering some of the cars he's owned and done up), so I'm guessing it's a drug bust, although I have no idea why they didn't at least make sure the car was all locked.

Work is giving away our old desktop's so I scored two of them (Lenovo M92p model: 3238A72) and I was gong to use one as a CCTV PC because they are small form factor (179mm W X 182mm D X 34.5mm H) and will fit in the linen cupboard with a switch etc. no worries at all. https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/desktops/thinkcentre/m-series-tiny/m92p/ Processor: Intel Core i5-3470T Processor (2 cores / 4 threads, 2.9GHz, 3MB cache), Turbo Boost 2.0 (3.6GHz), integrated Intel HD Graphics 2500, integrated 1600MHz dual-channel DDR3 memory controller, Virtualization Technology Implementation Processor in LGA1155 socket It's got 16GB's of RAM and a 250GB SSD, the cameras I'm getting are some no-name Chinese units other IT staff have bought and raved about, I've got multiple PoE switches I can choose from to run the camera's, so I just need ideas on what software people have used that they recommend.

What does everyone hope to get? The naughty girl list. What will everyone realistically get? Bunning's gift cards....which I'll definitely be using now that I have to do "maintenance" on my place. What are you getting the kids/partner/family etc? I've bought rechargeable walkie talkies for the niece and nephews, fishing tackle for dad and a 40" 4K TV for mum. Started/finished the shopping or leave it til Xmas Eve? I buy in November so I just do my usual food shopping in December. Do you enjoy, tolerate, hate or loathe Christmas? I prefer giving presents than getting them, like my birthday, it's just another day for me, except I get the day off. Getting/taking time off? Headed away? Locking yourself at home with the blinds down? Nope, hit over 40 days leave and trying to keep it quiet, I intend to use it for four day long weekend trips with the old man, I'm trying to get him out of the house, so thinking of doing a gold prospecting tour, some fishing trips etc.

Talk about Perth being a small place. (I think I've posted this bit before) Not only was the suspected Claremont serial killer the best friend of one of our staff members, whilst one of our other staff was best friends with one of the murdered women's brothers. But the owner of this house (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-02/women-face-trial-for-murder-of-autistic-perth-teen-aaron-pajich/9007294) was one of our clients. But so was this dad (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-02/ernest-fisher-jailed-for-matthew-fisher-turner-afl-murder/10065276) And now we find out his wonderful excuse for a human being is too (https://www.watoday.com.au/world/asia/australian-man-and-thai-wife-sentenced-to-death-over-300m-drug-bust-20181114-p50fv8.html)

It's pay day, so it will be happy Thursday until the bills start being paid and then unhappy Friday on wards all over again for two weeks. Why can't I just win first division lotto?

When I was replacing the plugs a few weekends ago, I noticed the bottom of the PCV valve was all browned, do they ever need replacing and are these worthwhile? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GENUINE-FORD-BA-BF-FG-FGX-FALCON-METAL-TYPE-PCV-VALVE-4-0-UPGRADE-FROM-PLASTIC-/300881163583
