It can be done but it's not a direct bolt in, you need different bell housing, cross member etc etc.

Mick fitted another set on monday of genuine ID 1,000s on a fg xr6 turbo & had no problems even with an idle speed of less than 600 rpm. We have supplied & tuned close to a dz sets of ID injectors in different sizes in the last month or so & all have performed flawlessly

Awesome effort Paul on both the ride & the fundraising. Mick & I are riding 100klm in October so hopefully we can complete it in as good as a time as u did.

We have fitted several sets of these valve springs and had no trouble with them. We charge $940 to supply and fit them. Not sure where you are located as to whether this helps you or not.

If you get stuck we can fit the exhaust system for you as we are fitting turbo back systems all the time.

lol, I know. I am usually cleaning up the messes that other bookkeepers make & then having arguments with clients because they believe that what their previous bookkeeper said was right coz they don't like the bad news! I am actually 1 step away from being a qualified accountant but decided not to go in that direction. I have 20 years experience in the industry and have done corporate accounting & small business so am very well rounded. Unfortunately I am not looking for new clients, I am actually giving them away because they make me tired and have worn me out! I concentrate mainly on Pit Lane now because my husband actually does listen to me believe it or not..lol & I a confess, I am a bit of a car freak at heart too! Trust you to hijack the poor man's thread...lol. At least I know you will lay off my husband now..lol I think you do need to think through exactly what you want to do and get proper advice. If you set yourself up right to start with it will save you less hassle down the track.

You need to get some proper advice as there is a lot to consider. I am a qualifed bookkeeper and go through this all the time with clients. You need to have your ABN set as GNR which is GST non registered until your turnover reaches $75k then you must be GST registered and charge GST on all sales. You need to get professional advice in regards to income tax because although you may only earn 5K for the first year in your business, you may earn $90k at your day time job which would have severe tax implications for you. Anything you earn between $34k & $80k is taxed at 30% and then above $80k the rate goes up to 37% so yes you would most certainly need to put money aside for tax. There are many other factors that come into play too. I see all too often people thinking they know best and doing or claiming things that they are believe are correct and then end up in all sorts of trouble because they never got essential and accurate guidance. Just another thing to, you need to register a business name and at this point a sole trader would be the recommendation but you would still need to make that decision once you have spoken to someone about your entire situation. Setting up as a company costs an absolute fortune and has to many compliance issues for someone earning under $80k net profit from the business and this would include costs of workcover, super etc which you just don't need when starting to establish yourself. This is another mistake that people make.

One thing many people, including some mechanic's, are unaware of is, that with the fitment of any clutch it is essential to set-up the C.S.C.(hydraulic bearing)correctly. The correct crush depth needs to be measured and should be somewhere between 14mm and a maximum of 17mm. Shims or spacers can be used when required to achieve the right depth. If you have the incorrect depth, you may either experience, poor clutch engagement, incorrect pedal take up point or even pop the CSC apart The simplest way to check the set-up is as follows: Using a straight edge and ruler, measure the height from the block face that the box mounts on, to the fingers on the pressure plate. Then with the bellhousing on the gearbox and the C.S.C. fitted in place, measure from the bellhousing down to the face of the C.S.C. The second measurement should be 14 to 17mm less than the first measurement. As mentioned above, shims or spacers may be required to get the right height. Make sure that the transmission is properly supported when fitting. Also, when bleeding the clutch, make sure you drain dirty or contaminated clutch fluid and always use new fluid. This may help you in sorting your issues out or it may not, but we see fitment problems time and time again and the main problem that comes up is incorrect fitment of the CSC. Let us know how you go and if you do need any spacers we always have them in stock. Also too, the ford genuine CSC's are a plastic composite bodied CSC. That may not be 100% compatible with a heavy duty clutch, but I would have expected the supplier of your clutch to have made you aware of this. The Mal Wood Ford clutches that we sell, all come with an alloy bodied CSC and we are quite often selling alloy csc's to people who have purchased other brand clutches.
