my best was christmas... didnt get out of bed at all, cause I was on the rum all chrissy eve, parents werent too happy...

wow... was a great day I think, got to see the APS on the dyno, seen it pull 502hp, but I think the highlight for me was watching the Active Engineering VH Twin Turbo on the dyno, it was loud and produced 1170hp... seen some beauty cars there too, one of my fav's was actually a holden, the HDT Maloo R8, with 20" rims and they were 285's, now that's gotto take some money out of ya pocket... had a huge wide body kit on it, and yea, it was sweet... seen the type of car that I wanna get there also, and it was for sale, R33 GTR Skyline, lurvely... yea, all in all, I loved the day, took some photos, had fun, and yea... wish there was more amount of merchandise stands, just not enough...

me and my brother are goin, mot sure if the old man is or not, but we are taking the XR8, sure hope to see the aps turbo, would be really good... and hope to watch some of the top contenders for the dyno shootout... well, will be taking many rolls of film, sure wish I had a video camera... but oh well... should be a good day...

1500 dont go far on much at all these days... but think of it this way... put a turbo from a 6T onto an 8, and run them against each other... I think I know which would win =/

wbt56, I very well doubt it was just the bare head, cause there was somthing wrong mechanically when it was driven

heh, well, wouldnt believe it, but had a BA Futura go out to the local shire council, (straight from factory) and only 27km later, it was back into the workshop... its runnin hot, ok, new thermostat... no good still... new patotimeter (cant spell), no good still, flush the cooling system... no good still! head mechanic rings up Ford Motor Company and talks to the help desk or whatever it was... they say "does it has gaskets in the head?" hang up the phone and pull the head apart, and there ya go, no head gasket.... some idiot has left it off down in the factory and just thrown the head straight on. I believe that there was a few that this happened to also, so be careful if you getting your car soon, and if it runs hot, dont ignore it, take it back and ask about the head gasket, cause risks are, it coulda happened to you...

im in a small country town, only 4800 people, and my brothers n/a xr6 ute got egged while parked in the main street where lots of people are, on a friday night while it was out front of thye pub... and it was only 2 weeks after he picked it up from the dealership... left a pretty good size spider web type of cracks... (chipped paint, removed the clear coat etc...) at the time this happened, I knew like 20 individual kids (under 18 on p's) that drove around throwing eggs (reson cause when I was down the street in my xf I seen them throwing eggs at people and cars) and have also had eggs thrown at me while walking along the footpath... totally disrespectful because for that little spiders web of cracks and chips, is about $2000 worth in the panel shop (its on the panel above rear right wheel) cause its a big panel, and to do it they would have to rub it right back and then respray the whole thing (paint aint cheap...) so my suggestion is that if u see somone throwing eggs, go give 'em a peice of mind.

I agree with owna... I doubt it would be 4wd... would be too much torque for 4wd to handle... =/ I think

I think my brother had this trouble with his n/a ute, not sure what ended up happenin with it, but I believe it did get repaired/fixed, so I think all you gotto do it get your deelers mechos to look at it and itll be fine

I love the xr dash, but my cuz has a maloo r8 ute (vy) and I tell ya, its an awsome dash, im all for fords, but I totally love his ute... still xr8 all the way (cause he wouldnt let me drive his ute :()

we had a pretty good storm here a few months back, was a hard fast and only small rain with huge winds, the amenities building at the local lake had the roof taken off, and many trees were toppled... wish we could get some rain here without the winds part, cause its like a desert here at the moment :( glad you were in the honda and not the XR... and when your talking about not being able to see 1m in front of you, it was exact same when the storm hit here months ago...

yea, I think that blueprint is the MOST popular colour, reson being that there is only about 10 XR's in town here, and prob 6 of them are blueprint (3 are xr8)

not a bad looking car... the only thing I hate about ef's is the red "sport" stripe around the doors and front and rear bars... its too big and takes the car out of contrast..

other... I think it should be a unique thing, like a huge color sheet, or a computer program where you can model your own color scheme on the GT's, that then your gt could be the only one in existance because of its unique color... my personal opinion, but it would be very costly thing to do.

if my old man was gonna get one, it woulda been the orange with black... but remember, you dont HAVE to have the stripes...

it is fuel inj.... and I was listening the the head mecho, and he said that it woulda cost close to $70k to build
