as redhawk said... take the T, XR8 and the GT for a test run, compare them and which ever is the better car/the one your dad likes, get that but I must say, even though the turbo is a faster car, there is nothing better then hearing the boss v8 sound...

hi xr6~> welcome to the forums if you look at the body kit on the supercars and compare them to the xr's, you will notice that there isnt much difference in them, the v8 supercars havent got the flood lights, its smoothed over them and that's about it, and the side skirts arent much different, in fact that I would rather the standard xr side skirts, they have a little more character about them... I havnt really looked at the rear bars on the supercars, but im sure that they arent much different to the xr ones.. that's my thoughts anyway, but as you said, yes it would be different and I havent actually seen anywhere that you can purchase them

if money was no object, it would be a Mclaren F1 LM, it is the worlds fastest production car, reaching 391km/h, getting there in about 3sec... but hey, they are around $700,000 and I wonder how much parts are for it and where to get them from

yea, as benny said, the RB26DETT would be one of the best and strongest engines out there, and with the comparison, as is already said, stock there is no way the T would be up to GTR standards, one is turbo'd, the other is twin turbo'd, and as was said, one 4wd and the other rwd. ive got a video clip of a R32 GTR (was veilside customised) was running 9.225sec for quarter mile time, and they had a test for goin from 0-300kph, and this is done in 13.72sec. and plz dont say that its impossible, because you think of how fast the car would be goin when it does the 1/4mile, it could easily get to 300 in that time. (the clip shows in car and out car view) the incar view shows what gear he is in in the bottom of the screen, and the way it was driven was spot on... if you use kazaa you could download this clip, its only around 6 meg, and is called skyline 0-300kmh. this was an r32 car, so 10 years later you have the r34 and think of the difference in engine power and performance in that time line that would have gone into the R34 RB26DETT GTR engine... no comparison

jr your prob right about not going near Bogan special , because the local ford dealer (panel shop also) used Bogan special products years ago, and when I asked about them a little while ago, the spare parts manager (also the panel shop "foreman") told me that they stopped using thier products because of some (and I say some) were of poor quality but reson why I posted it here is becuse its the place I visit to see what a bodykit would look on a certain kind of car (you must admit, they have a very big rangei must say I havent actually seen a car in person with a kit that came from Bogan special , so there isnt anything I can say about them really, good or bad...

any song by bjork comes to mind for worst songs, I must admit, the music on her songs are pretty good, but with her singing with it, well she cant keep in tempo, so its soo outta tune, sounds too bad... yuck..

before the car gets washed, use shiftit on the wheels and rims, (using pressure washer works best) and leave them for a little, then go mad at them with the hose/press. washer, gets them sparkly clean with no effort at all (its the stuff that helps get bugs off the windscreen and bumpers, but dont let it dry on the bumpers, cause ive been told by the spare parts guy at the local ford deeler that it actually can damage the duco if left to dry, so spray it on, wait 30 secs, then spray off)

I was cruisin in the XR8 and had some random dude come up to me and ask how much it was worth, just told him 50g's and then he asked what size motor was in it... "is it a 289 in this is it?" my answer "no f*ckin way" told him that they are 330 and 5.4L, thank god he didnt ask me to lift the bonnet, cause he was a deadset dropkick... also had a biker guy walk straight at me when I was sitting in the xr8 one day, I was packin my pants, cause he was a wild lookin fella, and he just started talkin to me about the xr, askin me all these questions, I popped the bonnet for him, checked it all out, and to my surprise too, cause I thought he was gonna try take it off me or somthing... thank god he was a nice bloke... hehe anyone else had some weird things like these?

our xr8 has a pretty bad shunt too... I hear it all the time when mom is driving it, but hardly ever when me, my brother or dad is driving it, reson being... we know how to use the clutch right (can still hear it goin round some corners at low speed though)

that's the same thing as what my dad is worried about, mum takes the xr8 shopping, and so far, 18,000km and no keying done to it, no one tried to steal it, but then again, we are in a small country town, 4900 people, and everyone knows everyone, so not much will happen.

that's cheap, considering that if u got them brand new through FoMoCo it would be about $12g for the motor and another $5g for the tranny... ill bet that price goes up pretty fast

I usually go to the limit or 10-20km/h past and that's it. Don't want to risk the chance of loosing my privelages of driving this T . But, I have done it a few times though. Once with an R33 Skyline GTR beside me. He gunned it, I decided to aswell but he easily pulled away. Real eye opener there that's the kinda reson why im wanting to get a GTR, they are a rocket, and you really cant argue with that, 2.6l twin turbo 4wd with jap technology... how can you say that they are crap? I got a video clip of a R32 GTR going from 0-300 in 13.74 seconds... and I recon its genuine cause it shods an out of car video shot, and in car, and he pretty much revv's out the car in each gear and gets into 5th...

I wouldnt mind knowing what the xr8 without the center muffler sounds like, so while the subject is here, does anyone know? is it a good muscle v8 sound? or as said about, droney kinda thing...

ill bet they had some japanese designers... I mean, GTR? that's what the top best skylines are called, and without opening up the larger images, it looks amazingly alot like an R34 GTR, similar front look, and the body shape is alot the same too

one went through the dealership in town here, and me and one of the mechanics were checking it out, they seep pretty cool, and when people say that sunroofs leak... no way, its such a tight fit around the edge from the glass... I wish we got one in the xr8

my family knows how ya feel bud... my brothers ute copped an egg fair to the side, left a bigass "spiders web" of cracks in the duco, ugliest thing you ever seen and it stands out like dogs balls... that happened only 1 week after he got the vehicle too. never found who did it either, sure hope you do and give 'em a peice of mind, cause that's exactly how my family felt when it happened to jared

ducati, the other car is a toyota celica (did I spell it right?) and yea, ive noticed it before on that vixen colour, in the shade/darkness, it is a red colour, in the sunlight its sooo much like blood orange =/ weird

Um, unless you got a free dial up ISP, and free local calls or dial up less than twice a day, no it's not. unlimited hours and downloads from my isp, its the fastest 56k ive had (been with 4 diff isp's) and is only $20 a month, using the same fone line as the fax machine, the cost of it isnt all that high I dont think...
