I have the nexus gauges and the pictures dont do them justice. Apart from having 7 background colours to choose from the blue matches the XR dash colour reasonably well and they are fairly stylish looking compared to some other gauges I have seen, maybe not as bling as the cobalt's bright blue colouring. Picked them up from Big O tyres can get the 19's package for a under $2600, I opted for better tyres and paid more. Regards M G

To be honest not aiming at any particular power. Just after a car that goes hard, is good to drive, comfortable, looks good and reliable. So its a total approach. I have included a couple of pictures of the Hiro Rims. Regards M G

Jeff, Things have been a little slow getting Shahin fully back and on the road, let alone out to WSID for a decent crack at a better time. Since my last update the engine was rebuilt. There were some issues with the type of rods we were using in a few cars so rather than take the chance we decided to pull them out and put in some stronger ones again. The plenum was replaced. I didn't have any issues but as there were some failures so CRD had the plenum re manufactured stronger and a new one was supplied to replaced mine. On the cosmetic side some new Hiro rims to replace the Simmon's. Apart from that I got Shahin back just before Christmas and have just run in the new engine so back for some tuning next week. I also have a photo shoot coming up for one of the mags and they have asked I keep Shahin away from the drags until its shot, apparently a few cars they have had booked in have broken something. So at the moment plans are retune next week, photo shoot and then some serious attempts to set some PB's. A this stage its just good to have my 'T' back and to be able to drive! Regards M G

I had Simmons FR19's that fit over my brembo's (just sold the Simmons) and now I am running Axis Hiro which also fit easily over the brembo's. Also Simmons have just released a 20" that will do the job. Regards M G

WIPLSH tried one on his T and it lasted about a week. The noise was just ridiculous and a guaranteed way to have every one of the boys in blue in the suburb looking for you. I recommend this as a no go mod on a 'T'. Regards M G

I think I am going to sit back and watch you guys throw stuff at each other. I was invited to the track day by a friend and thought it would be a good chance to do a couple of runs to work on driving the car with the new setup, the day gives more chance to run than an evening, plus as previously mentioned I work most wednesday evenings. Beyond that the car has not been tuned for power, it is running somewhere between 350-370 rwkw while we play with the gearbox. The gearbox was a softer setup and the better box goes in today. After that I will be testing that box, then we will turn up the power, etc etc until we get it to the stage that feels both strong as well drivable on the road. If it pulls a decent 1/4 time so be it. As previously mentioned I did not mod the car to win 1/4 times or dyno comps. I drive it everyday and enjoy driving it everyday, I also have the $ to make it go decently and look good, and beyond that the rest is a bonus. The whole edit vs chip thing is so tiring, how about we stop flogging the dog. My car has the edit, no secret there. Beyond that I have never claimed to be the best drag racing pilot and I am sure over time with practice I will get better at it. I am also sure that with an experienced drag racer in my car with the current set up they would get far better times. Why can't the discussion be about enjoying our cars, the different way we mod them and the fact that they are a ford, over all the other crap. Regards M G

Saleen - Didnt really get a chance to run heads up, some squirts in traffic. There was one chance at the crossroads with Jeff and Junior across on the lights, but no traction and I was in the lane that had traffic ahead. Exahsix - Dominello's have been playing around with the box and the current one was just a put in for general cruising around, not specced up to run power or be driven heavily. He has a new box that should be good for over 400rwkw when we turn it up. He is using my car as a ongoing test bed for different setups to get the best combo of strength and drivability. This is the 4th box he has had in to test. phase3ute - Best MPH on sunday was 119. Regards M G

Jeez give it a rest guys. It was a shakedown run, more to get a feel for the new mods. The car is running less than 400rwkw and was on 98 fuel with no weight saving. The main focus was to test the auto box which is coming out on Wednesday and a new one going in. The best time was 11.7 with wheel spin for half the track No problems with the tune, some with traction, and some with the box. I will be sure to let everyone know when its set up ready to run.. I would advise taking a look at the new VDO hub which is around $600 cheaper with more functionality. Regards M G

Man its just an injustice to have people do that to you. I enjoyed a similar loving caress from another BA whilst sitting still in traffic, $15K work here. Still as long as no one was hurt, cars can be rebuilt/replaced. Regards M G

They are installing drip trays under the vents with movable pipes so you can angle where the water falls, at least that was the latest thought when I spoke to them last week. Regards M G

I have a similar set up with Bilsteins and swaybar and to be honest its the 2nd best mod I have done after the Upgraded Brakes. I recommend them to anyone that wants to corner better than a taxi. Regards M G

Its good to see a few of members of the forum involved in the martial arts. I have had the luck to teach professionally for the last 15 years and I get to celebrate 30 years of training next January. As far as self defence goes some styles are more focussed that way than others, many styles these days are far more tournament or sport focussed and don't cover a lot of the basic self defence material. Still regardless of the arts focus it is a good thing to have people participate. Regards M G

Using Bilsteins and the ride is firm that is for sure, but the handling bonus more than makes up for it. Happy to say that they were one of my top 2 mods after the brakes. Regards M G
