Fg Front Wheel Bearings
Here are a couple of quick videos of the current front oem bearings with 40000kms on them. I first noticed a noise from the front about 2000-3000kms ago each time I turned the wheel, turning left I could hear a metal on metal grinding noise (similar to worn pads dragging). Passenger side: Driver side: I'll put up some pictures and videos of the new units fitted up as a comparison.

Muffler After Battery Delete?
Go back to oem intake? Or otherwise wrap the pod filter in duct tape.

Could not agree more! The only thing more gay than the above is if he also had those sh*t aftermarket black LED tail lights to match the fully gay blacked out headlights. Considering how many Perth drivers dont know how to use indivators, I recon more of them should just paint them black.

No dramas Aaron. I thought you must have got em mixed up with B series bearings. I picked up a replacement pair already. Luke I'll check the bolt size when I swap them tomorrow. Its a 15mm and looks same size as the calipper braket bolts. Also I'll post up a video of me free spinning both front bearings. Both are pharked and sound like they are dry inside. LHS sounds like something is broken inside it as well. Neither of them have any play in them though. 40000kms oem units which have done 30000kms freeway driving. Built Ford Sh!t haha.

Arron are you refering to front FG bearings? I know the B series single hub nut needs to be done to 300Nm. The FG bearings are a sealed non servicable unit, basically the entire hub that attached to spindle with 3 bolts. Also a bit more than $140 from my local Fraud dealer. Covs on the other hand are always a bit better. Can anyome confirm if the torque specs in the above link are accurate? 126Nm for the hub to spindle bolts. Cheers

2014 FG X Falcon (Project FH) News & Discussion
+1. Why Ford insist on using CGIs is beyond me. Compared to the teaser video of the XR8 the CGIs look so bland. Compare these Ford CGIs to the reveal of VF.......

Fg Front Wheel Bearings
I have a failed front wheel bearing in my FG and was wondering if anyone has a FG shop manual with torque specs for front end suspensions and brake bolts so I can torque everything back up to oem specs? Also does anyone have any experience with non genuine front wheel bearing for an FG, should I be avoiding any particular brands? Going to try and get a pair of bearing tomorrow and change both sides out while I am at it. Cheers

Wish Ford would release real pictures instead of CGIs.

I agree that ATR2 are not too good in the wet. But are very good quiet try in the dry. Mine have done 20000kms now and still have lots of meat left on them. Maybe they just need a good scrub in the dry

Are you looking at a 19 or 20 inch rim? I have 275s on an 20x10" +40 rear rim. Fit easy with King SSLs and no rubbing at all. As you probably already know, not all 275s are the same though and mine are on the narrow side with only about 265mm across the actual face of thread.

2014 FG X Falcon (Project FH) News & Discussion
Sorry guys not sure what happened with me quoting a post from march :| From the spy pictures posted on AFF it looks like the final Falcon and Territory will get an ICC update which will include SYNC. Other bits are reverse camera across range which means colour ICC for low end models. Other things spotted include front parking sensors, sensors in front windscreen which could be for auto wipers and posibly some sort of radar cruise control. Nothing huge as this stuff has been in other cars for years but a big step forward for the last Falcon I guess.

Mate this thread is about updated/last Falcon which goes on sales end of this year. Will look different to FG Mk2 from outside and pretty much same inside with a bunch of new tech.

Would any WA members be interested in a full FG XR leather interior from a 2011 XR6T? Would include front and rear seats plus all 4 door cards and a custom XR leather centre console cover with blue stitching. All in immacule condition. PM if interested.

Helps if you have multiple auto policies plus bulding and contents with the same insurer. Also age, location and a clean record helps. Mine is insured with the mafia at the moment. Premiums are pretty steady at about 2 to 3 errands a months. Access is around 1 to 2 knee caps depending on incident. But includes free towing and life time no claim bonus cover.

Steve I bought my T3 rotors from the same ebay seller. No issues and cheapest I could find by about $50 from memory at the time I was buying. RBS were over $600 for the front T3 rotors. I am running the Safebrake lines as Arron. Safebrake are forum sponsor on AFF too and give 10% the prices on their site. See here: http://au-shop.safebrake.com.au/product.php?id_product=596 And here: http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11397437
