Try 350ks out of 60 litres. Mind you that is all city/suburban drivng with a slightly heavier right foot than left.

Hey Falchoon, How do you find the Nankangs ?

My BA is lowered and has 265s at the rear. It had the slightest of rubbing, which a little guard rolling fixed.

No such problems with the Speedy rims. It pays to shop at reputable locations.

Hi Guys, I just bought these rims in 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 with 235/45 & 265/30 Nankangs for $2800. Only difference is my rims are from Speedy and are called HP Racing. Pretty good value I thought. If you want to know where from, let me know.

Yeah mate. Been to Thomson Ford only for warranty work. Wouldn't want them to touch anything else. I go to my local mechanic at Bridgestone Smithfield. Lots cheaper, and reliable.

Ford = only warranty work. Bridgestone Tyre Centre at Smithfield for all other mechanical, great lot of blokes with a real passion for anything performance.

As has been mentioned. It ultimately comes down to what you will be happy with. I chose to go the XR8 route and I'm extremely happy with it, and it's only getting better. 11000 k's and starting to really fry the tyres !!! By the way, as I've noticed on this forum, there are way more problems to be reported with the 6T then the 8. Herrods exhaust will get it bellowing Good luck, either way you can't go too wrong, beats GMH hands down.

I'm still waiting for a diff replacement (3 months and counting). The reason for the change is a leak !!!! Go figure. Although it does also clunk.

The guys at Bridgestone Tyre Centre in Smithfield Sydney have usually got 18" ROH rims and Hankook or Kumho tyres to suit Falcon/Late model camira for approx. $1900 - $2000.

Go the 8 mate. IMO don't muck around with the XT. I actually test drove RATTs car before I bought the XR8. Substantial increase in price, at the time approx. $9k. But you get a whole lot more for your $9k !!! I picked mine up for $48,500 drive away in sep03. A friend paid $49k, in dec03. Bargain hard, throw on Herrods exhaust, filter, guaranteed high 13s. :banghead:

Jim, That was my fourth pass of the evening. I couldn't hang around any longer to go for the elusive 13 secs Every pass as the temperature dropped, almost a tenth or so improvement. The Herrods set me back $3300. In the kit comes headers to tailpipes with mandrel bends in s/s fitted. Very noticeable improvement, well worth the $$$$. I hear a guy operating in the name of Gonzo pipes is playing around with the std. headers and getting some pretty good results ?? Rumour has it that he is seeing around 50 hp at the wheels with the headers alone ?? :banghead:

Any of you guys out there had a run on the 1/4 in a XR8 ?? Thinking about trying it out this wed @ WSID.

Hey ozzyjim, It's got Herrods complete exhaust system and a K&N replacement. Haven't had it dynoed yet, so the power figure is only an assumption. Anybody know of the stad rwkw ? I think if the XR8 had the gearing of the XR6T, possibly be a different story in qtr mile times. But qtr mile ain't everything
