  1. f*ckin not good..... A wait that long you would assume there are a few out there with the same issue. Sorry to hear mate, out the tha many issues the new holdens like mine have the tailshaft isnt one thank god.
  2. I ran up to 341 in mine with 11 pounds of the boosts!! Same system as you have there apart from being 3'' all the way and not going into dual 2.5... So yes it will.
  3. Sad to say, this is the type of car that got me to jump the fence... I would never pay 100k for a Expensive Daewoo or a Ford, classic or new but you could get close to this type of machine for maybe 50k? if you were to choose something cheaper... like a UTE lol
  4. Owned both, 340rwkw T and a stock VE Bogan special ute. Both Manual the T had a Mal Woods 0-100 the Expensive Daewoo feels so much faster, the T felt like it bogged down or would just spin the wheels with a little power. But from 100 onwards, the VE feels really slow where the T would scare the sh*t out of me how fast it could go from 100-200. I would say I prefer the smoother type of power delivery with the VE being NA and this really doesnt change even with a nice sized cam pushing 5-600hp. But I fell the more power you put into the Turbos the more undrivable they become for your day to day duties. If I could own both I would, but to answer your question over a standing 1/4 with that power you will smash him. The Ts are just to good once they get rolling and I really dont even bother giving them a run, well not until my cam arrives lol...
  5. Back yes, front I dont think so unless you do a bit to your ride to make em fit. I could be wrong. Otherwise if your worried buy a VE, they swallow them. At leats that's one thing my car has over these bloody turbos!!
  6. 9k on top of a 60k car you would hope so lol 9k on top of 36k which is what I had mine for is a bit more attractive. I looooove the F6 dont get me wrong they are a much better over all car than what GM are providing but they are both brilliant cars in their own way. I think calling either a piece of sh*t is a bit uneducated.
  7. Well the term is Cam only, but it makes 360rwkws, using a cam, zorst, 25% under drive, and tune. The 10 was run with slicks full weight. The package costs around 9k through GMM. Edit: The car is also Manual..
  8. Whats the quickest full bodied FG F6 street car in the coutry at the moment mate? Im sure the fastest full bodied VE would have a much quicker time slip. 10.7 from an SS with cam only? that's one of many. Far from being a piece of sh*t but the F6 are a much better car for what you get... up until a point of coarse lol.
  9. I dont think this was a debate of which one is better, becauase I dont think there really is an asnwer to that question. The boss makes more power in a stock car but I am yet to see a Boss respond to mods as well as these LS engines. 360rwkws froma Cam only??? I dont know if a boss could get even close to that. But it is 5.4l much smaller than that what the VE use. I love the boss and would have bought an XR8 if the FG werent so bloody ugly or even another T but I must say I am mightly impressed with what these LS engines can do. We are very lucky to have the pick of 2 very tough V8's for not a great deal of money.
  10. Im with what this guy said lol. It is extremely suprising how much power can be extracted from the L98/L96/LS2/LS3 with very few mods. Forced induction seems to be the choice these days, but GMM have a car pulling 360rwkw with a cam and a few other bits. Always wanted a big blown 8 but a nice lumpy idle is wet dream for me. Same car also ran 10.76 full weight with only slicks and front runner. My T with 340rwkw would have strugled to get into the 11s. Anyway, I bought my car purposly before AFM was put into these things as it just seems like your chopping a mans balls by reducing the amount of cylinders a car will use. Not a true 8 but time will tell how good they really are.
  11. If it is a real price for all that gear then il f*ckin buy it use it as a track car lol... that's insane, ring up Simon he knows his cars pretty well so if he has worked on it he will remember it and tell you exactly what it has. Good luck
  12. Lots of big turbo LS2/3/98 popping up these days as a big single turbo kit package drive in drive out can be had for around 8-9k. That will give you in excess of 350 at the tyres... Very attractive.
  13. Talking after the movie, he has stated that it is still the same way but will be rebuilding it soon and will be keeping it in full race trim the way it was when he crashed it.
  14. Loved this movie, was lucky enough to see an advanced screeing across the road from my house where he did some Q&A at the end. Pretty cool guy from the looks of it.
  15. Nicevid some tuff cars!! But correct me if I am wrong, was that first phoon using some sort of canon style muffler?

After buying the Bogan special I was kind of suprised with how well it hooked up but just as suprised at the lack of acceleration it has from say 80-160... The T I had (340+) Would be the oppostite. Getting the power down in a manual was aweful not only due to the lack of traction. But it was scary how fast it would go from 80-160+.. But this is all fixed with a few thou lol. Regarding the question asked at the start of the thread, dont bog down and you will have him no drama!!
  17. 700+ hp for a brand new car that would cost around 80k with mods depending on who you bought through. Pretty good stuff if you ask me. The Boss is just as good I would assume just not enough people out there toying with them by the looks of it. Well not as mnay as there is Holden.
  18. Its cheaper than what you might think to either turbo or s/c one of these cars. Single turbo kits are around 7k drive in drive out intercooled s/c around 10k. Im sure there are better deals out there but that's what I have found in my itial investigation. Both kits will see you close to 400rwkw on a factory engine. Capa are actually doing drive away packages for the VE V8's at the moment which give you a brand new car, big rims, zorst and s/c for around the same price as what those things were selling for around 12 months ago.
  19. Hmmm I should post some of the links to when you boys post yours cars on the LS forums.
  20. Just a flat hard cover, and some 20's. 22's go really nice but where I live/park it just wouldnt work. Dalars I think they are by Giovani or something. Good rim
  21. Yeah it was seriosuly considered but I sold the T as I foudn it hard to live with a turbo car running a bit of power day to day. These things with the Gen TT kits easily hit the 400 mark which in a turbo charged car is can be a bit wild lol. It is the better option over all as it produces more power and is far more efficient but I bought the ute to have a blown v8 so I guess ill continue down that road.
  22. haha thx mate ye 320+ is a nice street car but I need to keep up with you boys. A blower should see me close to 400 which is silly but hey, what else am I going to do with my time.
  23. Thanks for the help
  24. Toight
  25. Hmmmmm maybe low rent in the better models (clubby, GTS, Senator) but for what I paid, $36,000 brand new, I am really happy with what I got. Leather, climate, stacker, 19s, 6litres of v8's bro, Metalic paint (Atomic). I really don't think I could have gotten a better new car for the money I paid. I loooooooooooved my Ford and the lack of pace in my VE has made me decide on a big blower kit, but I would be hard pressed to ever spend more than maybe 60k on an aussie vehicle. I just dont think you get your moneys worth. I would dearly love a new Phoon / GT, but I just cant justify the coin for what you get. Maybe this might be a good time to hijack this thread and put up a pic of my barge. Now that's a sharp looking car hahaha as slow as it might be!!!
