  1. f*ck me... I think I know everything... then Mick comes along and shines a light on me... Thanks Mick...
  2. MY CURRENT WHEELS... FOR SALE IN FOR SALE THREAD... DECIDED BLACK CENTERS ARE FOR WHITE CARS... AND BLACK CARS... (WELL, AT LEAST NOT FOR AN ORANGE CAR!) KOYA INOX CEO 20X10 +38 295/25/20 NITTO INVO 90+% 20x8.5 +28 245/30/20 ACHILLES ATR SPORT 90+% REAR WHEELS (MASSIVE DISH 4-5 INCHES) FRONT WHEEL (2 INCH DISH)
  3. I CANT BELIEVE MICK BOUGHT SECOND ORDER DERIVATIVES INTO THE MIX... THE GUY CAN TUNE CARS AND IS A f*ckING MATHEMATICAL GENIUS! I'M PUTTING ON MASSIVE RIMS WITH HUGE TYRES AND MINITUBBING... I WAS TOLD THAT IF I RUN MASSIVE TYRES, THE EXTRA SIZE IN CIRCUMFERENCE WILL BRING MY 1/4 MILE DOWN BY HALF IF I CAN DOUBLE THE DIAMETRE... PI x DIAMETRE GIVES CIRCUMFERENCE... MULTIPLY DIAMETRE BY 2, DOUBLE CIRCUMFERENCE... EVERY TIME THE WHEEL GOES ROUND, TRAVEL TWICE AS FAR... SAME RPM AND YOU HALVE YOUR 1/4 TIME!!! :paint: THIS IS WHY THEY RUN THE MASSIVE f*ckERS ON THE 5 SECOND CARS! THEY RUN 10'S WITH 275/40/17 MT STREETS I CANT BELIEVE IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO FIGURE IT OUT? :wizard:
  4. Paulie... Run helium balloons in the boot and back seat. I dropped 0.5 second off my 1/4 time...
  5. I also like to run 5 locknuts on each wheel as they're approximately 0.005 grams lighter per nut... Only downside is... To keep weight down I have to leave lock but keys at home... And if I broke down, my wife would have to drive out and deliver if I needed to change a tyre :-(
  6. This is why I am always changing wheels... We run my car in the back physics lab and test for wheel wind resistance... Usually setting the tunnel wind speed to 80km/h... We have noticed the different between dishes and concave wheels... Especially when they are dirty and clean... Surprisingly we found that polished stock 17 inch BF wheels give the least wind resistance and therefore greater take off / acceleration...
  7. 20X9 sits completely flush +20 on the FG (I sold them to a guy who put them on the ute... 20X10.5 +30 with a 275/30/20 Nitto will be perfect with a rear guard roll... These are the sizes I am buying my next set in
  8. They don't sell in a 9.5 in a 20... Only a 10. Ozzy Tyres is cheapest in Australia and you can get an extra 10% off at the moment If you use the discount code "super60" at the moment. Make sure you buy staggered (costs an extra $300 I think)
  9. 20x8.5 front +28 20x10 rear +38 doubt they'd clear unrolled guards...
  10. These are my current wheels... 295/25/20 Nittos on the rear... For Sale within the next week
  11. topic replied to Worm's MiKa in Wheels and Tyres
perfect fitment (wont be too flush, but nice... and yes 245 will go on but it will look stretched...
  12. My wheels... Bargain price... Tyres are perfect (99%) and alone cost $1250... Staggered as well. Will fill guards perfectly! On my BA (I'm only selling them as I decided I prefer dish... How they'd look on an FG....
  13. Sometimes there is a reason wheels are cheap...
  14. topic replied to Worm's helbz in Wheels and Tyres
They look f*cking awesome for an 18!
  15. definitely 20s in size... 22's would shove up the guard... I used the existing wheels and tyres to make them same as a 20...
  16. topic replied to Worm's TomT in Wheels and Tyres
Agree... Either are great... However, bang for buck the Nittos are awesome... Invos in a 275/35/18 will get you an 11... you just need to give them a little bit of warmth and they'll stick like flies to sh*t...
  17. They do :-/ I still maintain I haven't picked a bad wheel yet!!! I've had my koyas on for months >.< starting to feel edgy... I need to buy the mrs an XR5t and get her some wheels :-)
  18. topic replied to Worm's helbz in Wheels and Tyres
Mainly OS... TSW in a 19x8.5 with +20 and 19x10 with +40 would be perfect and clear brembos... Run a 285/30/19 rear and 245/35/19 front. They don't ride harsh...
  19. topic replied to Worm's TomT in Wheels and Tyres
275/35/18 = winning. Especially in Nitto. They don't have big shoulders so will fit perfectly!
  20. 275/30/20 rear and 245/30/20 front if b series... 275/30/20 rear and 245/35/20 front if FG. f*ck 255's... On a 10 inch rim. I have 295's and they look a little stretched!
  21. Oh and I think I chopped them a little bit big on the sedan. They'll fit perfectly under the rear without rolling and wont scrape...
  22. Sedan and ute... I can ship to you. They are 99% brand new with rimskins. Not a mark on them. The rear Tyres cost $900 alone.
  23. The Nitto tyres on the rear cost $900...
