  1. Hi guys, I want to get my car tuned... I am getting it put on Liquid Gas Injection soon and was going to get this place to tune it... I am in Victoria and I dont want to go to G&D, as I went there and the guys I spoke to seem very arrogant and treated me like a d1ckhead... Yes, I am not a mechanic, no, I am not a d1ckhead! Can anyone else recommend somewhere? I dont want to mention where I am getting the LGI as they are not a sponsor... They have quoted me $1200 with a flash box, which I am happy to pay, I just want to make sure there is not a better option out there? Worm
  2. Liquid Gas Injection... GAS has a higher RON (110+) rating... Will add about 15rwkw just by putting it on to this system... Also lots cheaper to run. I have been on gas for years and with the new LGI development I am excited... :-) Will also lower the arse end more :-) Also better for the environment... I feel ashamed when I give the T full throttle and see all of those gases flying outta me exhaust... :-( When I do it in my taxi, I wont feel as bad... I have heard it is better on throttle response (more torque)... Cant wait... Sometimes when I boost the T I feel my pocket getting lighter as I accelerate...
  3. Eh... I forgot about brakes... I did them the second day I had it!!! I have dba4000s and ferodo formula pads... I cant stand it when the car wont stop... And the brakes on it were shaking like a shaker on a GTHO... :-) Yeah, I would do the cat, but cant until I get a tune... Otherwise I will get overboost... May do it the week before tune... WHat is the deal with the "under battery pipe?" How much? How hard to fit? What does it do? I wont have to pull off my bumper again will I? Worm
  4. Ok... So I have had my T for about a month... When I bought it, I decided to get liquid gas injection... I booked it in and was told around 2-3 weeks cause I managed to get a kit that was supposed to be for someone else... In the mean time I started my mods cause I wanted to get it tuned for gas... So... I put on a phoon intake, k&n filter, front mount cooler, stealth fx bov, twin 2.5 exhaust, lowered with ssl/sl and monroe gt shocks, bought a capa for with a stock tune, then decided against it for a custom tune... Now... I am stuck waiting till 22nd of September to get liquid gas... :holiday: I feel hamstrung!!! I want to do stuff but cant... I need a tune.. :-) I dont want to waste money... What can I do now? I have leather... xr mats, xr scuff plates, nice wheels... I was thinking an FPV leather wheel... and a retint with 5%... Any other decent cheap mods before I get gas injection? I am getting bigger injectors on the gas kit... and a custom tune with a capa flash box... Any idea if my stock power would have increased with my mods? What would my car run down the quarter? Any advice appreciated... Cheers, Worm P.S. Dont ever deal with Freeway Ford in Cranbourne... Worst experiences with them ever... Gave them a second chance 3 or 4 times... NOW I AM DONE WITH THEM!!!

  8. Yeah, I will take a side pic... Kinda hard atm with all the rain in melb! Every time I clean the bloody thing, it gets dirty! I swear, if you need rain, just ask me to wash my car! Yeah, was me in Hallam. You stalking me? :-) Seems like you were watching my every move I am slowly doing up the T whilst the missus doesn't notice... :-)
  9. Yeah... I think I would prefer an FG TYPHOON with every extra and then spend $75k on mods... Reckon it would pull a 4.7s 0-100 with a full bottom end workover, bigger turbo, injectors, edit, cooler, dump, exhaust etc etc... I would still have money to fill it up with petrol!!! Way overpriced for a 7L SS... Give me an $80k clubby and $75k to play with any day... (I would probably sell it and get a PHOON!)
  10. Yeah, FG XR6 turbo rims... picked em up cheap on ebay from a dude who took em off straight away and fitted 20s... The car actually had stock 18s on it, but I thought I would go with something a little different... Worm
  11. What do you guys think? I have only just lowered it today, so hoping it drops a little more in the next month... SL front and SSL rear with full Monroe GTs... Will add some more when it settles...
  12. Oops... I am new here... Will shut my mouth... How do I launch my T for the drag strip? :-) May have to try Caulder... Worm
  13. Hi guys, I need some advice... I bought my BA MK II XR6T a couple of weeks ago with a 6 speed manual... My problem... I cant take off... LOL When I go to take off quickly I get a massive amount of "turbo lag" (I think that's what it is...) The car seems to bog down... I haven't owned a turbo before, so I am not used to driving them... I am used to my old xr8... It has a couple of upgrades and should fly once I get it tuned :-) I am so glad FORD finally brought out a car that can pump a HSV... The guy in the clubby was pissed, especially seeing as he (originally) thought I was driving an XR6 NA cause my car is debadged... So, my question is... How do I get the best launch? Traction control on/off? How many revs, clutch dump? How much throttle??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I want to lead at the other side of the lights and continue to accelerate!!! It is a great feeling to accelerate from a HSV... I had never been able to do it before! Cheers, Worm
  14. I love the turbo mate, but if I decided to dump the wife and go to a one bedroom... well... I wouldn't know which exhaust to use? I have a twin system...
  15. Hi all, I have just purchased my BA MKII XR6T and am looking to make it a perform like it can... Details... 2005 BA MK II XR6T, 60kms, Shockwave, 6 SP MAN, Full leather, Premo Sound, XR Mats and Scuffs, K&N Filter... No lowering... Bloody steep driveway... I got the car a week ago.... And so far have fitted a GFB Stealth FX BOV, Twin 2.5 exhausts with stainless tips, a FMIC (which was a biatch to fit!)... I have also put on an XR6 bottom grill, new mats and FG XR6T 18s... I have also added the bottom air intake to the factory box as with the typhoons... I am getting the car put on gas liquid injection and custom tuned to 10PSI in the next two weeks (waiting for the mechanics to fit me in...) Do I need to do anything else to the car before I do this? I am planning on running standard injectors and valve springs... I am told the car will gain about 15rwkw by putting it on liquid injection... I know people have had it put on... Have they found this? The other thing I am looking at is a brake fix... I have the shudder problem at high speeds. I wont be dragging my car... I am just wanting a cruiser that will whip a R8's arse as I am sick of hearing about LS1's!!! I was looking at fitting DBA 4000 series slotters with Bendix Ultimate pads? Can someone give me advice on this setup? Do you have it and is it any good? What about RDA discs? Any good? I am a teacher and slowly I am getting most of my students to come around to Fords... They all seem to be Expensive Daewoo lovers, but since they've see me boost out of the carpark and hear the BOV spit out a nice roar, they realised where the real performance is :-) It seems my roaring AU XR8 couldn't do this, but the T has brought them all around!!! Cheers, Worm P.S. The missus is just dismissing my idea of moving house so I can lower the T... Do you think this is an unreasonable request?
