  1. I bought a new Jeep a few years back-owned it 10 months. The thing tracked terribly, always wanted to turn left into the scrub at highway speed. On the wrong side of the road it tracked beautifully. The dealer couldn't fix it. I hope they've got right hand drive sorted out now.I'd want one for the weekend before I signed up.Build quality wasn't all that good either. Yea nice looking machine though and what a powerplant. ..........turbo Territory would be the other thing I'd look at.
  2. Yes.I'll be there.

Yeah I agree, they should have given him a daily routine of torture for the rest of his life... maybe then he would begin to realise his inhumane treatment of others after suffering some himself. Yep drill a couple of holes in his arms or legs daily with a Makita cordless drill like his goons did. The Iraqi ambassador to the US said on tv that Saddam was responsible for the death of 2 million Iraqi people.

Scarey.......it really is.Goyders Line (border of arable vs non arable land) is gradually moving south in SA and farmers are walking away from properties held for generations in the one family. Adelaide relies on the Murray River for suppliment of metropolitan water supply and we have very tough restrications about to be enforced,as the flow from the river dwindles and it appears that Melbourne faces a similar dilemma. Spare a thought for the hard working people on the land around the country and lets hope we have a very wet winter in '07 I
  5. The only one we've seen was on a cruise that finished at Wayne Phillis Ford at Christies Beach about 6-maybe 8 months ago.It was out the front on display.I'm guessing this is the same car?Yea looks good but not a colour for GT's with stripes I believe. The colour really does look good in real life.purple, green and dark brown being the 3 main colours from memory. ← OMG THAT WAS MY CAR!!! I BOUGHT IT FROM WAYNE PHILLIS FORD AND IT WAS THE ONLY 1 THEY HAD!! MAN ADELAIDE'S A SMALL PLACE ← There you go I'm guessing its the only one in Adelaide.Welcome to the forums. The SA guys will be going on a cruise/day out at the Murray Bridge Autofest on the Australia Day long weekend (cruise details yet to be organised).Details to be finalised soon.................hope to see you on then if you have the spare time

.............with a factory fitted yella terra blower.......and call it a GT Sprint?.........we can dream.
  7. Mr X replied to saleen's topic in FPV & Tickford
Very nice Saleen...please leave the stripes ON Ever seen an XY GT without stripes? ....and to play the devil's advocate........while the xr turbos devalue at an ever increasing rate(been there-lost 150 bucks a week on the last T over 3 years)console yourself with the knowledge that a GT will always be worth a pretty penny.sure they cost more, but the retained value is very very good.and better than HSV too. Took the STOCK GT on a cruise a couple of weeks back and it was faster thru the curves than my last mildly modded T and stopped better too.A bit more grunt in a straight line would be nice though Love it - enjoy!

  9. Don't own one.There's a menace XR6 BA2 seen daily near my work.looks ok.Menace GT's were available with orange stripes too....could be pretty scarey...
  10. Well how good does Deja Vu look?I've seen it in the metal on a Super Pursuit ute w/- gold stripes and it looked unreal.I'd like to see "Seduce" included in the FPV range too(if its not already)
  11. Looked very like a blueprint BA GT to me...ah well.just makes the ones left even more valuable
  12. Hey Bosco.Drive day dates for SA are Tues 6th March,Mon 9th July, and Tues 10th July at Mallala.Perhaps we could get badxr6,shiftyxr yourself and I to all go together on the same day.Could be a couple more FPV owners by then too.Got the luggage today in the mail and it looks pretty ok.
  13. Recipe for how to win a V8 supercar series 1.Buy 2 teams=twice as many developement days for each of your 4 cars(outlawed now -ie for next year) 2.Swap your drivers around at Bathurst so that the best driver from each team is in one car(this could backfire) 3.Use the slowest of your 4 cars to block any opposition cars(including other Holdens-just ask Larry Perkins) 4.In the final round -run your adversary off the track, ferk his car, take a stop go penalty-then go on to win the championship. Thanks Tom Walkinshaw
  14. The results are provisional-888 has lodged an appeal so lets see what happens.Congratulations to Mark Winterbottom in the last race-well done and it bodes well for the future. Australians love the underdog and won't abide a blatant cheat like poor little rich kid Rick Kelly-so I believe that if the championship results stand V8 supercars as a series will suffer...................and always remember that a 9 inch Ford diff crosses the line every time a Expensive Daewoo wins
  15. apparently they have speed cameras at red lights in SA shazzy ← YES WE DO :censored:just recently got caught @ 72 kph on 60 zone. Threshold in SA would be 8-9 kph over the limit ?
  16. Mitsi workers made redundant in Adelaide are receiving counselling for lack of self esteem.no auto industry jobs are available for them to relocate to. Australian cars are being built from an increasing amount of parts sourced from overseas. What happened to local content laws I wonder?
  17. Let it go CrowEater! Lumpy ← Well Lumpy. The anti SA sentiment was pretty strong there for a while there and we knew things that others at the time didn't know.Maybe its time to put it all behind us.
  18. no..........and yes. They're organised on fordfans.Being the only non convict state can be unfashionable
  19. Very nice
  20. Topic navigation is very good now but the whole thing wants a revamp imho.Looks the same as it did basically 3-4 years ago.The site needs a new masthead,colours,icons..........everything.

Dragged a late model rex last week and it was a dead heat....in my manager's 94 Suzuki Swift GTi ! Rex owner wasn't happy
  22. "Plonky" -NSW highway patrol officer at the time, brought this subject up a couple of years back.He was all for it(raising the limits) .As I recall he said he'd even approached politicians about it. If speed limits are raised where would revenue from speed cameras etc be sourced? It'll never happen
  23. Mr X replied to 937's topic in FPV & Tickford
Did they use the wrong body shell? The Grange is a Caprice derivative.Should the Force 8/6 be a Fairlane derivative?A fat pimpin' Fairlane with a Typhoon engine or GT engine would be a good alternative to a Grange or Chrysler 300C.???????
