Bald is beautiful! No badges or spoiler gives a very clean look.A mate of mine has an XT in red with the same treatment and it looks very nice too.Could I suggest body coloured protection mouldings on the doors to complete the picture like my mates XT.Just finishes it off nicely.
  2. Voy, that sucks! Ar$ewipes like that should be publicly tarred, feathered and flogged when caught. Looks like there's a demand for hot wheels at the moment. My mum's neighbour left his brand new HSV in his driveway overnight, instead of locking it in the shed like he usually does. His bedroom is directly above the driveway. He's even got an auto IR detecting spot light that switches on when pulling up into the driveway. Got up in the morning, went to go to work, and found the car jacked up on one side, with besser blocks knocked out of neighbor's front fence holding up the other side. All 4 19 inch HSV rims/tyres had gone! There's some really brazen crims out there. And this is in a "safe" low risk suburb Warning to all...... lock up your babies! Too right Tom; the lowest form of life they are-catching them in the act is even scarier especially if you're out numbered.Sympathies to you Voy,I know how you feel

Is it newsworthy when they're blowing each other up?Whats new- they've been doing it it for a thousand years ;live by the sword, die by the sword.Might as well be aliens from another planet;no respect for human life. They need a new hobby. Its only newsworthy and sickening when they blow us up.

Happy birthday to Vik Gone but not forgotten. Can I pm him from this site?
  7. I like your idea of attending the Lake Gairdner speed trials on the salt. The sight of a v8 Ford at 180 mph+ gives me goose bumps!Been to The Gawler ranges before and stayed at Mt Ives station and went to the lake itself.Did the trip 10 years ago with my old man in an XE ute on some pretty rough roads. You need a 4x4 or an old warhorse like my EB wagon to do the trip,a BA would be dicey, too low,too much plastic. Be interesting to know when the next trials are and who would go;a camp under the stars job. The article in Performance Ford mag with the orange EF with the 347 stroker, the black EB XR8 from Tassie and the XW GT from Murray Bridge is certainly inspirational!:
  8. Nah didn't see him Lumpy, just a beautiful envi XR8 and a nice mercury one too.If I'd seen the old fruit in a SPRINT :wub:I prolly would have car jacked him and tossed him the keys to the turbo
  9. Should I bring the slow car,the slower car or the really slow car? Waiting for others to get organised so the ute can be edited.Taking a long time..............

Ok, from what ive seen anywhere from 200 to 240 odd rwkw's NA. A mate has a XR8 ute with a vortech on it, running 6lbs boost and no intercooler, that is getting around the 370 rwkw mark and it doesnt have an edit yet. his has the xede chip on it and has been tuned for 42lb injectors. The thing with the blower kit is that they dont control boost well, so you will need to run a 2 bar map sensor on it, the turbo BA's have them now, but when this car got the kit, it was fitted with a Expensive Daewoo one which works well too. The ute in question is the phantom one on the cover of performance ford mag, the one with the BBS wheels on it, and having been in it, it goes very well indeed If your in melbourne, go and visit DPC performance, he is in Campbelfield, he is a CAPA distributor for the SC kits and edit too, he will do you a great deal if you want an edit, like wise for a turbo BA wow good numbers!I'll have to get a hold of the magazine in question.Dynowog is doing the edit on a trip to Adelaide.Whats your buddy hoping for with the edit?thanks for the info phil!

Getting the XR8 ute edited soon;standard apart from Herrod extractors and exhaust.Manual trans,What sort of rwkw sounds about right? Also 260 pre- edit with vortech;how much power? What are the advantages of edit with a blower? Would there be a noticeable difference in power or an improvement in drivability?

Just wondering if anyone has any info on changes and improvements to the upcoming MK3 GT.Does anyone know when the release date is?Also as a fan of stripes on the GT I'm hoping Ford offer a gold stripe option as per XYGT for such colours as vixen, envi and silhouette.

  19. Yeah good day out!Boostie was sorely missed but Shifty and Al more than made up for him in the burnout dept.Had to drive through it at 20kph with my lights on Found a few problems with the old girl so she's in for some warranty work asap, something wrong in the handling/strut/swaybar dept(sea sick pills required) and a nice big vibration at 90kph-tailshaft?Thanks to Voy for his navigational skills Was really looking forward to a bit of rally action but I would have had to follow Shifty.........revenge is sweet hey Pete?
