  17. I've gone as far as raising the DTE with my Ford service dept and had the sender unit replaced, but still no change. Have had consumption avg of around 14l per 100km, with comp indicating 4 lt remaining, but still only needing around 70lt to fill it up. Therefore on the remaining fuel in an 80 lt tank, I should still have 90 odd km left before empty. So obviously the computer is wrong. Something is most def wrong with the cars or trip computer. BARA

couldnt tell ya what branch of converter was used sorry.. But can say that there's no line noise in the system. So all works well for me so far. BARA
  19. Binna Burra is in the Goldie Hinterland behind Nerang. It's an very nice drive from say Movie World out Beaudesert Canungra Rd, then hang a lefty... Twisty roads (which I love ), with most being 60-80 kph. Some spots to pull over for pics or a leg stretch such as a park/camping area, general store. Then its another twisty run back down to back of Nerang, back out past Cedar Lake resort towards Natural Arch. Turn off up to Springbrook, which is just about the most beaut spot on the Coast (cept maybe for the Esplande and the chicks on a Sun arvo). Then a final twisty run down to Mudgeeraba. The views for passangers are breathtaking, and the drivers will love the roads. Dallas... Am not looking to take over here, jus tputting an idea out. Havn't seen anything up for yonks, and was therefore not aware if anything was on the go. If you wanna come for a run with me one day to do the above, please call or PM me. Would love to take you. Am sure you wouldn't be able to keep up if we took 2 seperate cars though.. (Just kidin) Surprisingly quiet is Ian here... Total run could be anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on people wanting to stop, maybe take a walk to the Purlingbrook falls (only 300m from the carpark ppl). And whether we stop for drinks or wee stops (girls!).. K's would be around maybe 100 - 150 Let me know. Comments are good. BARA

G'day Alex. No the head unit doesn't have to come out. The speaker wires have inline convertors to allow RCAs to then connect up the amp. Would presume that all standard Ford sterios are able to run 4 speakers (2 in dorrs, 2 in rear on the side), so can't see why you can't have this done now. The rear speaker wires run down the left hand side. BAZ
  21. Have been waiting for something to be started here and no-one seems to be doing anything, so here goes... How bout some of us Goldie/Brisvegas/Sunny Coast people get together one Sat SOON.... Seems to be that a car club should mean actually getting out in the cars and covering some road. Maybe meeting at BP Yatala for a run up to Binna Burra, or to Sprinbrook. Afer all, the XR is best served on a nice piece of windy road. Who's up for something??? No cost involved, no need to budget for anything cept some petrol and lunch. Just puttin it out there... Bara

Firstly I think everyone should back up a bit and chill. No-one knows what hapened at the resort other than the players and the girl/girls involved. Let's see if the claims are proven yet before making outlandish statements. Who's to say the girl didn't want to be with the players, had sex with them, then had some remorse or guilty feelings the next day and so decided to level these allegations. Maybe she agreed to sex with more than one of them (let's be real, it's not uncommon) and then maybe didn't like it at the end. Who knows. It wouldn't be the first time a female has lied people. I'm not arguring for the players, just saying that everyone here and around the country has been quick to judge. As for Darren's comment, it was quick, witty, and if the guys here were honest, they'd agree it was funny. That's not to say that guys trivialise rape or condone it. People made jokes about the world trade centre, so does that mean people condone mass killing? Get real, and wait for the evidence and proof before making your judgment.

Received one of the guage pods from Kev at SS Inductions about a month ago now, and I can say that like everything else he does, this is well crafted and looks schmick. Also got the ECU cover which I think everyone should have, as Ford really let us down in the very ordinary placement and finish of the unit.

Justt had a new Clarion 12" sub installed into a custom box on Sat. Sub is running of a new Clarion 4 x 100w amp with 2 channels bridged to run the sub. The amp is mounted under the passenger seat. Also had a set of Kenwood 5 inch splits installed into the doors. Had to have a special mounting ring made. Having had a few cars with big systems, I've gotta agree with Basher that a single 12" is more than sufficient in a ute cabin. Sounds awsome......Seriously deafening when listening to a bass cd... And only $1000 for the amp, sub, box and install. BARA
  25. Got the latest issue of Australian Ute Mag with the article per above post. Seems like a top bloke...but then he's a ute driver....so you'd just expect that Speaking of which, went jet skiing yesterday with another top BA ute driver...Russell Ingall !! Real nice bloke. Very smart BA XR8 in Blood Orange. Pity same can't be said for Skaife
