I know a great bit of road from from Goldie to Muwillumbah through the hinterland. MMMMM twisty roads...... We then find a country pub and all head in for steak sangas and a few drinks... Got the SS Induction scoop. Not sure of the gain by itself, but with the extractors and new exhaust I did 232kw on dyno. Am getting the throttle body fitted Monday arvo as part of a feedback arrangement with Kev, as mine is the first non-turbo he's fitting it too. He claims the increase on this part alone is noticable, so will keep you informed.

Took my ute to the dealer as the coolant got right down under the Minimum mark. Apparently has to do with the rubber ring being between an aluminium pipe, and a steel pipe. Both cool at different rates and therefore the gap allows coolant to leak out until the other pipe cools down to then seal off. Ford here replaced the factory rubber seal with a tighter one that has since fixed the prob.

I even get the young dudes at the lights staring and asking questions here on the Gold Coast. Surprising how many think that the XR6 only comes in Turbo, and therefore think I have de-badged mine for street drags. :hiwelcome: Never got anything like it with the old AU III XR6 The Blueprint colour makes a huge impression too. Chicks luv it. And isn't it surprising how many committed Expensive Daewoo owners have admitted they would buy one now. BARA

Currently getting 232kw from my NA BA XR6 ute. Hope to have new SS Inductions Throttle body on next weekend. Should take it up to 240kw. Keen to take it on a dyno again fellas to confirm it all and then also do some laps at QR..... Won't have to twist my arm to hard.......or Ian's.....lol So when are we gettin together???? The caps are abut $2each retail, but I got mine for like $1.50 each. Then had to get em painted cause they're black standard. Be very carefull when ahving the tiedowns removed. If the black bit grabs while drilling out the rivet, then you can get paintburn from the spinning. Have seen the result of this. Also, be prepared for a slight dent or marking where the tiedown was, as they are fitted in the factory by machine, while the paint is still "green" (not fully dry). Nothing you can do about this...... Waiting for my new lid and spoiler. Been on order for 3 weeks so far, and only just get advise that they are doing another run and will still be about 2 weeks to go....

Keen to see if my NA XR6 ute does the same on your dyno as on the other one last weekend. 233 rear wheel hp with just Pacemakers, 2 & 1/2" exhaust and SS Induction. Seems alot of gain. Almost in Turbo XR6 country with that figure. Nowhere near yours though...

Don't know if it's gonna affect the turbo's, but after 9000km I'm getting a new handbuilt engine in my XR6. There's a knocking sound eminating from cylinders 5 & 6. Turns out it's the pin that holds the piston to the rod (gudgin pin??). At 1200rpm, especially when cold, it's sound like it's a loose tappet, but Ford say it's an echo in the air surrounding the pin and is not detrimental to the performance of the car or any wear and tear. But it's sounds awful, and they're replacing the engine.

Purchased from Lou on Sat, fitted for $160. He said his discount to Ford dealers would be down to around the $120 mark, and they told him with their mark-up they'd sell em for around $190!! $70 per grill for the deler....and they'll sell pretty quick given the interest. Glad I got mine now

G'day. First posting here. Was told about this site at a show in BRis on Sun. I don't have a turbo but have just purchased the grill in question on Sat. Local old guy makes em outa powder coated aluminium. $160 fitted. He's taken an order from Sunshine Ford at Southport for them and he's giving it to them at a better deal, but tells me they are putting a decent markup on them. As for disrupting airflow, there would appear to be minimal blockage when fitted.
