  1. I take it you wont have any phase 1,2, or 3 mods ??? or maybe just the fluffy dice !!! Robbie.
  2. I watched the videos 2 week ago and loved every bit of it. Although double white lines were crossed there were no cars coming the other way and the driver had a clear view of the road ahead and was in and out in no time. Now can anyone honestly say they havent put the foot down and held it flat through the gears and reached speeds well over the speed limit ???? When there were cars approaching or in view the driver slowed down, to me the comments about APS legalities and this video is just another excuse to post some negative comments or PR about APS. I think we all know who it was that was driving but no need to start posting negative comments about APS or Peter. Its the individuals choice on how they drive and where they do it and no one forces you to hoon around country roads or give it a quick squirt. Awesome video and awesome sound. Robbie.
  3. With the 160kw@rear wheels can you accelerate faster than a WRX ? or did the WRX get left behind because of the bad start ? Totally suprised how bad the rex went, no offence. Robbie.

    New VZ review

Also in the Motor Magazine, September 2004 their was mention of how easy the V6 accelerated to 240kph and had plenty in reserve. :o Robbie.
  5. TX Gemini 1.8lt approx 200kph @7200rpm just hitting the rev limiter it may have been faster but the speedo only went up to 180kph and it was a 4 speed manual. (T3/T4 Turbo , front mounted intercooler, microtech digi 1 computer etc 8psi) Cordia Turbo (stock) 205kph as indicated on the speedo MY99 WRX with APS mods - a short squirt to 230kph but never really tried for a maximum speed
  6. Well if the HSV doesnt stall it up and the WRX launches at 6000+++ rpm then the HSV has no hope and vice versa. I'm not saying it's a good idea having a run at the traffic lights but if subie doesnt launch at high revs the he'll be left behind same with the HSV or if a T doesnt stall up..
  7. I'm not 100% sure but I believe I read a post about the Nizpro T having a rev limit of 7500rpm ???
  8. I think Ali and Mundine are completely different. Ali had class and style and wasnt offensive like Mundine. The funny thing is Mundine think's he's in the same league as ALI what a joke !!!!!!!!!!
  9. Id be even angrier if I paid $1000 for 240rwkw then got a terminal speed of 102mph down the track....when every other T with 240rwkw runs closer to 108 - 109mph. Something seriously amiss there to be that slow in the top end with that much power. Only need 200rwkw for 102mph. Think about it The APS phase 2 kit will do around 110 - 112mph terminal speed so I would have thought a T fitted with a phase 1 and doing 102mph at the end of the 1/4 was quite good. When Motor tested the phase 1 there time was 13.7 and terminal speed was 102-103mph as well.
  10. When Motor Mag tested the stage 1 kit , I believe it did 13.7 but I cant remember the exact mph, but Im sure it was around 104mph
  11. Loges, Is the colour of your EF BLUE ?I thought your EF might be the fairmont that has run mid 10's at Heathcote and featured on fullBOOST ? Robbie.
  12. Tuna has a poor attitude towards everyone but himself. It's wonder anyone will turn up at Heathcote and I'm growing tired of whatever it is that dribbles out of his mouth...... I'm totally sick of it.
  13. 55 entries for the NATIONALS! No wonder you're pedaling so hard for entries! We get more than that at a street meet every Friday at Calder And you have it wrong, coz I DID (past tense) want to come to Heathcote, but now wouldn't waste the fuel to let you see my car You wanna see my car run, you can come to me. Otherwise, I don't give a F........... Well said !!!!!!!!!!
  14. It seems all of your posts are about critercising everyone. Harsh............
  15. Mark, What was your 60ft time and how much slower was it than your best time with the stage 2 ? Were you able to get under 2 seconds or was it slower ? Robbie.

    New Article

Greg, I think it was a shame that one of your distributors got carried away with some of their comments. One thing is for sure I've definitely noticed the change since you addressed the problem and nothing worst than being caught up in something which wasnt your fault to begin with.. If Nizpro are entering their T in the upcoming heathcote meet in April do you have big plans for that or possibly debut something which we havent seen done on a T yet ??? I'm curious because latey I havent heard much about Nizpros's development or goals they may have.. Thanks. Robbie.

    New Article

Greg, I think the monthly subscription for autospeed is $7.95 and they have a lot of interesting articles, I subscribe mainly for the new car tests, and special features such the one mentioned in this thread. They use to have a lot more articles about highly modified feature cars but they dont do it as often like in the past. I read this article back in January and I was positive there was a thread about it, I maybe wrong. And personally I didnt make any comment about it for a number or reasons. 1) I thought it was common knowledge the steps taking to fit a kit such as yours like many others as well eg. intercooler, plenum, piggyback computer etc and there was more emphasis on that rather on the performance and hp reading on the dyno and how T drove with the kit fiitted. 2) I think if the article had more emphasis about road testing the nizpro stage kit I'm sure there would have been quite a lot of feedback and interest. Like myself I'm sure other members on here have better things to do than only post negative comments or critercise anything associated with Nizpro. I wouldnt take it to heart that when there has been some positive feedback about Nizpro, and you didnt get the recognition you deserved. I've also noticed in the past theres been quite a few disputes on the forum involving Nizpro or people associated with it, and that could also be in their mind and dont want to be involved in anything like that. I'm not having a go at you or critercising its just something I've noticed and offering you my thoughts about it. And Brian (BCL) has had a lot of positive feedback about his Nizpro T and a lot of people have shown a lot of interest. I think his thread about his stage 3 kit is far more interesting than the article on autospeed and probably why their has been so many posts. Robbie.

    Quick?

I can understand everyone being unhappy about the stupid comments by rtyzon but I'm actually suprised that your mates 03 WRX only managed 1.5 car lengths with such extensive mods. Our MY99 WRX when at the time only had a unichip and 3" APS exhaust did 13.6 and with stock boost. When motor did a comparison with the T and the 03 Rex marginally beat the T in standard form..
  19. I've seen quite a few meets at Calder where theirs been 9 second street cars with no rollcage. And then I've heard of meets where a roll cage is required for anything under 11 seconds. I'm not 100% sure but if If a drag meeting is using ANDRA rules then a rollcage maybe be required. I'm sure their must be some experienced drag racers on the forum who will know the answer ??????? Robbie.
  20. When I first read the posts on this thread it was going strong like a lot of threads then someone has to attack Peter / APS and ramble on with a lot of rubbish. I really dont see the point of your comments, Peter didnt start the thread and didnt post any results from the dyno comp. It seems that regardless of what Peter has to say whether it's an answer to a question or technical information he is always attacked and integrity question. Personally I think it's beyond the joke and something needs to be done about it. I'm growing tired of people whether they are rival companies or not that use anything for an excuse to make Peter look bad. It's beyond me how Peter can give professional courtesy to people who wont do the same. I mean read through the posts then justify your comments it's totally pathetic..... Peter didnt mention or critercise anyone because the stage 3 kit produced high hp during the dyno comp.

    Rwkw

The easiest solution would be to measure engine kw's on an engine dyno then measure rear wheel kw's on a chassis dyno. Surely you could apply the difference to the same vehicle with the same driveline. If a T has 300kw's@flywheel and has 240kw's@rear wheels and both figures were taken from a dyno and not a guestimate then surely you could apply that 60kw difference to other vehicles of that type with the same motor and driveline... Doing it this way would be far more accurate than the guestimation of engine kw's using percentages with a million other variables.
  22. I saw the question mark for the VL so I thought could provide some informaiton although I'm going back a few years. A good VL in standard form fitted with a 3" mandrel exhaust and no other mods ranges from 190hp - 217@rear wheels. I went to a heathcote a few years back and my friend had a VL with 217hp@rear wheels and did 14.3@97mph using everyday street tyres I think they were 225/60 Bridgestone G grids. Then he fitted a t3/t4 turbo a small guard mounted intercooler and 15psi which recorded 265hp@rear wheels. At heathcote it recorded 13.11@106mph on 30C day using McCreary treaded slicks and was a 5 speed manual. I think the exhaust was $1800, intercooler $1350 and the turbo mods $1600. But this hp level was the limit for standard injectors and to go any faster than this you need to upgrade the inlet manifold/plenum due to uneven flow or get the intake runners internally ported and do some serious mods. So for around $5000 13.11@106mph was ok but the VL's are quite old now so you'd be looking well over $10,000 to get a VL reliably into the 12's like the T does with a stage 2 APS kit.
  23. Why would you want to run on the road (stupid and dangerous) when you have a perfectly good, brand new, track in Sydney? You even get a time card when you race at the track.... As for the mods? The non-APS Stage II XR6T I whopped on the weekend ran 12.96 down the quarter for $9000 spent on it over stock. My VYII ran 12.70 (eight times), with less than $1500 spent on the engine (computer tune), factory headers, factory exhaust etc. Like it or not, they are the facts I was curious to know what hp the VYII makes at the wheels in standard form ? and how much improvement did you get with your engine managment and headers etc ? By the way what was your terminal speed when you did the 12.7 ? I remember reading about a VYII SS tested by motor which did a 13.9@103mph in standard trim which is quite impressive considering the 300kw GTS is marginally quicker. Someone mentioned in a post that you may have had a high stall ? if so what's the stall speed ? You obviously have a good setup. Any changes to the diff ratio ?
  24. The auto problems in the T sound like the same as experienced for the VL auto. The jatco 4 speeed in the VL was ok up to around 280kw@rear wheels but didnt really last long even with modifications to strengthen it. In the end most of the 10sec VL's were fitted with the trimatic to handle the power. Maybe the T will need the C4 although it wouldnt suit the characteristics of the car as the T is more of an all rounder not just a 1/4 mile machine.
  25. The stage 1 kit is 280kw@flywheel and the horspower XRT330 has after the stage 2 kit mods was 271kw@rear wheels which is around 330kw@flywheel.
