  5. I tend to agree. The reduction in back pressure will help your valvesprings along although they seem to be very soft. Do you have a boost graph?
  6. I still think there's more left in yours but the exhaust may be the issue. Having said that, 300+ on the standard early MkII internals is just about max anyway.
  7. Once again it really depends on what you want to do with it. At the power level you are looking for, I'd be fitting one. Particularly if you are looking to run a decent time on the quarter mile and thus low fuel level in the tank.
  8. The R8 is no slouch, but it will depend on how your car re-acts to the generic tunes supplied in your box. Before anything else, take you car to a dyno to get your AFR's checked for each tune. Also re-gap your plugs for the 10PSI tune. If you have 240RWKW then you will have fun with R8. You;re in an auto so you can stall it up an be gone by the time he thinks about snatching 2nd.

  10. It's also what you want to do with the car once modded. If you are planning to run the quarter for a time then a surge tank will be a good idea. It may not be 100% necessary, but do not run without less than half a tank as you will surge/lean out on the run with about a quarter tank. More fuel = more weight to shift and slow you down.

  15. Some say that the actuator can be changed without taking the turbo off but it's very fiddly. For most it will be quicker to pull the turbo off.

  19. The Brock shop do sell and use the edit, but I cannot tell you how good they are as I haven't heard of anyone who has had their custom tune done there. Anyone on this forum with a Brock Shop tune?

  21. The power figure for tha boost is very low. Either there is something very wrong with your motor or the tune is not what is should be. Are you running a stock XR6T bottom end? If you are then please take your car to be sorted ASAP. 18+PSI being rammed into it isn't doing it any favours at all.
  22. They'd be great for factory stealth look, with enough rubber on the ground to stop the constant tail wagging.
