My first concern would be the new gearbox. It has been rated to 600NM, which you will exceed easily with the modifications you have outlined. Unfortunately being a new component, there's not much data on what torque levels will actually kill it.
Looks great! How long have you had the phoon? I cannot wait to get my hands on the new banana boat. Will have to get some additional power to keep up with you 2.
Probably an arm and a leg. I'll give both Brett That being the case Brett, I hope your driving an auto... On topic - Well done HPF. Does the V8 rumble still sounds as good??
Jack, I had this "optional Extra" with my first gearbox. Ford tried a number of times to fix it but eventually Ion supplied a replacement T5. - It's not right that it crunches into 5th. Trust me, this will only get worse over time. - It's not right that it will not shift from 5th to 3rd. This was only rectified by the installation of box #3. Good luck.
A very good first option. I would suggest that you start with the cheapest and open up the air intake before the IC and edit. Also, TELL YOUR TUNER that you are looking for longevity rather than max power and torque. That way you will be fine.
Can maybe Street Tuner answer this question. As my understanding is once it has been used to flash a vehicle it cannot be used on another vehicle untill it has been sent back to CAPA to be unlocked. I have been told this because once factory tune/VIN has been stored "it" can't changed /overwritten! Please Street Tuner, what are your thoughts! Once the "F" slot has been filled with an upload, it is locked to that vehicle until cleared. This can be done by an edit tuner with their software, without having to send the unit back to CAPA.
Good to hear. I understand you trepidation in flashing the car again, however, it is unlikely that you will have these issues again. I'm sure Martin and CAPA would have more accurate information regarding the number of errors, but I'd suggest that they are very rare. Particularly after all other external factors causing issues are removed. Good luck and I hope you receive your replacement flashbox soon.
Welcome to the funny farm! The harder you drive it the more power it will make. So drive it like you stole it, but get the oil and filter changed at the first service. Cheers
BUT, if you can afford it comfortably and you are considering the money you are putting into a car, then consider the facts that: A. Money - you can't take it with you. B. Life is too short. Enjoy it whilst you can. Good luck with the numbers Wayne.
Well, the deal is done. Just have to wait for the car to be transferred to Brisbane and the sunroof install.. As with any run out stock, the colour choices were very limited, however, I think I've picked a good one. Its RAPID
