  1. After 15,000km the rear SP9000's are past their use-by date and need replacing. The main issue I would like to fix is the lack of traction, although any assistance with road noise would be great as well. So, I'm hoping that the members here can let me know: 1. What is the maximum legal size for a tyre fitted to the standard Typhoon 18" rim? 2. What tyre you feel will be the best performance/value for money combination? 3. How much or where I should shop in Brisbane. Thanks in advance.
  2. I'll sell you mine for $450.
  3. The only thing to remember is that you will need more than 4 litres.
  4. Best of luck sorting out the dyno issue Simon. I'm looking forward to both the standard and "enhanced" results, as your wife car is exactly what I'm looking to get for my Mrs (including the colour). Can't have it running stock now can we?
  5. The later custom tunes do not have the solenoid click issue, which is ususally related to a "dumbed down" boost control where the wastegate is set to a single position. No longer the smartest way to do things. A standard surrent custom tune will not have this issue. Octane boost will fix the pinging issue. What was your standard power figure?
  6. My T used to have this problem. 2 gearboxes later it was fixed. If they can now do this with the replacement of a single part then fantastic, as it took me over 12 months of being stuffed around by FoMoCo to get the issue resolved.
  7. Boost you t-piece it off the bov oil, you use the supplied oil sender presure sensor thingy.. And you need a t piece, VDO 230.032 (it hink.. 1/4npt with 1/8 npt for oil presure). allows you to run both sensors.. 270 degree sweep on oil would be good... I was also thinkin about geting pyro temp.. or airfuel.. but a/f is pointless as its not wideband Danny ← Does anyone know if these gauges have the same connectors as the standard Typhoon units? I would love to swap them over for these...
  8. Flavio doesn't manage Kimi or Michael, so Mark will have to wait to see what happens with these 2 guys. Also on the Renault front, they also have Kovalainen waiting in the wings and he's very quick. Grand Prix experience may get Mark the seat though. I hope so anyway, as he has had nothing but bad luck all season.
  9. I think they are actually quite good for what they are, BUT, way too small for a 4 litre Turbo.
  10. Great synopsis though.
  11. Welcome back Trev!
  12. I ran a generic tune in my T for about 6 months before a custom tune. It was good but nothing compared to the tune where the settings were customised to the car. The extra coin is worth it.
  13. Same here. I used it for about 6 months on the T and from the first refill on the phoon. Good stuff
  14. 3rd and 4th on boost is just on the edge. Just. I think longevity is not great and is being aided but the crap OEM tyres, which seem to break traction at the slightest provocation.
  15. Congratulations Shane and family, It's an amazing feeling becoming a parent, particularly the first time.
  16. No cure. Just enjoy it!
  17. Nice tune Simon. That's just the way I like it. Strong boost up front to get the car moving...
  18. It'll look tough.
  19. Good stockie power. Did they have any other XRT's on the night?
  20. BA Phoon bar front and rear.
