  1. perfect, thanks mate.
  2. Arronm , on the back of the valve (center of the above diagram ) it has a hose joined to the block, which is where the 5/8 heater hose will connect - correct? So, what I really would like to know IS.. what is that fitting on the block behind the valve I am connecting to? Is it a metal pipe/ barb or something less useable?
  3. ^WHS^ What do you do with the coolant side of the old exchanger Jet ?
  4. Cheers Rob, yes I had thought of just leaving it there and connecting the old hoses together- still may if I cant figure a better option. I seem to recall the valve leaks as it ages so keen to avoid any extra problems.
  5. I have made a start on getting the parts together for a oil to air cooler, just wondering what people do with the water side of the original set up? I'd like to remove the plastic valve assembly and just run a hose from the thermostat housing feeder pipe into the block ( effectively deleting all the heat exchanger crap) , but wondering what fitting is in the block, is it a barb which would allow me to just use a piece of suitable hose (1/2") ?
  6. What size cooler is that Jet ?, or part # - looks like a kit that includes the brackets?
  7. Was that a BlackVue unit MBAF ?
  8. Wow, they look like their blood pressure is through the roof! All bright red like a strangled dick, good to see they haven't lost their unique style of humour , same old trio.
  9. Of course!, they had the falcon way before us, and evolved it to the millennium falcon! Skids on a 32 parsecs per lightyear ( the milky way is the left over smoke from an intergalactic skid comp a couple of thousand years back.)

  17. Took the car to a mates place to use his hoist, planning to replace the fuel filter. Got her up in the air and sorted the filter, took a look at that bloody leaky transmission plug and gave that a clean, oh well at least everything else looks ok.. O , wait.. *SIGH* Feck
  18. Thanks for the fast replys gents, gives me peice of mind . I'll get onto the trans shop Monday and give it a service at the same time , another k down the gurgler!
  19. I was under the car and noticed a oil drip on the back of the tranny ( front was up on ramps so drips to the rear). Upon closer inspection its been doing it for a while judging by the small slick . It appears to be coming from the electronics plug on the drivers side rear, and if you look closely it looks like an orange seal has been pinched. I assume it happened when the trans was serviced as I don't touch the trans. Has someone who has had a ZF apart got any ideas or pics of what its meant to look like - is the orange bit a o ring that can be replaced ? Obviously the fluid level will need to be rechecked too, off to search the forum for the ZF fluid fill procedure I guess.
  20. That makes more sense. Cheers Ozywalker
  21. Cant find it in the search, can someone confirm the OUTLET size on a standard BF turbo please? I think its two a half inch / 63mm.
