  1. Dam just noticed the gtw3884r pac sell them for only $100 more
  2. Would I be correct to assume that with the mods I have, a 76 would beat a 82 down the drag strip simply because it is quicker to spool? If so I'll go a 76 im not that interested in big power on the Dyno but I do go to the drags and the odd powercruise
  3. For when your wife is driving the car or if you drop it off to fraud I already have a built Zf so I should just break the tail shaft. I spoke to gcg today and to PACperformance both offer complete bolt on gtx3582r for $2750 all ported and ready to go. I'm going for full bolt on as my local tuner said not to try to use anyone in Darwin to built one for me using the stock housing. No one knows what they are doing up here. I even called mtq in Darwin and they said to go through melbourne.
  4. Anyway we are hijacking this thread. I have a thread on the turbo over here http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/91156-Turbo-Might-Be-Stuffed%21' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'> http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/91156-Turbo-Might-Be-Stuffed%21
  5. Yeah but you had evidence I don't. Anyway I can't see how they could have stuffed it unless somehow the turbo didn't get oil after or during the oil change. Seems odd.
  6. Checked it and it appears to have been disconnected but them. Anyway, I'm certainly not going to blame ford without evidence. Just a coincidence I suppose.
  7. I have a car cam, I'll check
  8. I'll definitely get a retune. The bigger question now is should I get the gtx3582r at this cheap price or buy a gtx3576r. I've read all of the threads on this and the 76 is rated the best by you guys for street drivability and fast spool but only to 370rwkw ish without e85 (not an option for me but I have the water/meth). I already have/had 367rwkw so does that put me out of the bracket for the 76? I definitely like the sound of faster spooling. But this price on the 82 is good. Dam decisions decisions! I'd actually be paying more for a 76 as I could get the 82 cheaper!
  9. Ok so I found a dude selling a gtx3582r brand new for $1500. It comes without turbine housing. Am I correct to assume that I can just use my gt3582 stock rear housing to fit this to it and just get an new actuator bracket?
  10. God dammit. Shouldn't this kind of thing happen slowly over time. Shouldn't I hear noise for a while before it gets to this stage! I checked my earls filter and it wasn't blocked! Is this from now oil or is it normal. My oil pressure guage was reading normal. It was still boosting but I could here it stop quickly when I went off the throttle. This may sound like a noob question but what happens next? What's the risk of driving it, obviously not boosting it. What damage can I do? I assume drags this Friday are a no go Do I get it fixed or buy a new whole unit? If it's the latter then I suppose I should upgrade
  11. Sorry guys for all of the recent posts but since I went to ford yesterday everything is going downhill. I think my turbo is stuffed now! What do you think: https://vimeo.com/139445379
  12. Yep just checked earls and it was not blocked!!
  13. Well they did the oil change yesterday and I could hear an odd noise when I drove away from the dealership. Comes on when I hit throttle. Anyway sounds worse today I just got home and the turbo is f*cked! I can only just turn it with my fingers and it makes a grinding noise. I had no noise after shut down prior to this WTF!!!
  14. Ok so I ordered pmu ns400 for front and will get bendix for the rear Regarding the leaking master cylinder, I checked it out. Reservoir was full to max level even though pads are low. I then pulled the lid off and found the seal thing disconnected from the lid and it had folded in on one side. basically it wasn't between lid and the edge of the reservoir. I suspect (could be wrong) that when I did the cruising session at track day it spilled over as lid wasn't sealed. It was repeated braking on hot day and probably boiled it or something. I've now taken some fluid out and reinstalled the lid correctly and cleaned it up and will see if it leaks again.
  15. Perfect, thanks mate. Bendix it is then. Woo hoo brake dust here I come!
  16. So those other pics are the front brakes and these are the rear Actually they don't say Brembo on them but they are red???
  17. Thanks so I have Brembo's all round are you saying that I should use PBR for rear??? I assumed I had 2 pot Brembo's on rear
  18. Yes I can but I have an aircon problem that they were to diagnose. And we'll, they didn't
  19. I live in Darwin, do you think that is why?
  20. Mate did you end up fixing this. Was it just a twisted gasket. I have a leak between resivior and booster ford want $700 to fix it. How did you do it
  21. Yes it appears so is that a problem. It's was apparently $98 of oil
  22. Well this is my update. ford tried to blame the battery again even though it's my second ultra high performance battery from century (I own two now thanks to ford)
  23. Darwin Mate. my tuner did mention a while back that I should look into a stronger tailshaft as it may be the next weak link. I also have an upgraded ZF. yeah I'll call around and see what their quotes are Vs Ford. I see it needs to be rebalanced after the change so I suppose I should take it to a shop.
  24. Ok I found this and will have a read http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90417-centre-bearing-replacement/?hl=centre+bearing Sorry I did a search on my phone app and it didn't find what I was looking for but my PC was better
