its easy to check to see if your clutch is the problem start the car leave your hand brake on and put you car into 2 or 3 gear and slowly let the clutch out giving it a bit of engine revs if the car tries to stall or does stall your clutch is more likely still ok now you know your car and were about the clutch would normaly grab and stall the engine is it still the same place or can you let the clutch almost the whole way out without the engine stalling cheers trev

as above I think your clutch is about to die also if your engine has fuel supply problems it can run like you describe , blocked fuel filter maybe or fuel pump on the way out cheers trev

firstly im no ac tech but this would be my guess is it steam or mist ? mist can sometimes be caused by moisture condenseing on the evaporator (the part that cools the air ) during dehumidifying the air this is normal everynow and then but if it happens more often maybe check to see if you drain plug is blocked if its a dirty air smell do you have water on the drivers side on the floor everynow and then ive had this and my drain plug was fine but the bottom of the aircon catch tray was full of crap causing the it to leak the air filters in these cars inside your glove box area are a joke my whole fan area was full of leaves and crap that all gets push further down into the system and its a major pain the ass to remove as well dash out job or you heater is leaking but surely you can smell or taste the coolant in the air if this is the case cheers trev

im not to sure id be giving the system a good flush as once this starts happing it pretty much turns your cooling system in a battery and then your really f*cked flush it really well then put some good coolant in the car then start testing for bad earths that's how id do it cheers trev

ive used these a few times in the same size and have had no problems besides them wearing fast but that's partly because of my driving and for a cheap tyre they handle ok as well around corners one thing I will say is there great in the wet only down side is they can be fairly noisey when they start to wear if you live in sydney tempe tyres have them for around 220 fitted from memory they import them direct .......

hello people I realized my front left wheel bearing has sh*t its self and im going to buy a new one on monday but the nut that holds it on is looking pretty crap after taking it off and apears a little worn on the washer side any ideas on the cost of a replacement from ford just the nut $ and then also the hub price from ford $ ive found a few other places that sell the hub online but without the nut ive been told these should be replaced each time the hub is replaced is this correct I dont really want to take the chance of my wheel falling off because of an old worn out nut cheers trev

you need to post up a bit more info mate how many km are on the car do you flog the crap out it .......do you stall it up ....how many drag runs has the gearbox had have you changed the oil ? how longs the car been tuned ? did you have problems befor being tuned ? does it only do it when hot ..... cold ...... or does it just play up randomly ? here is a few things I would look into sounds silly but is your battery in good condition are your battery terminals clean . is it the correct battery for the car I know this sounds silly but it caused my car to have issuses and the car started fine even though it was only 50 or so less cold craking amps than ford require I noticed the problems more often with the head lights on bigger voltage drop im guessing hence giving incorrect readings from a few sensors placed around the car ( cheap and easy to check this) ok is your speedo still working correctly , maybe check all your abs sensors on the car clean them off most cars with a few km on them will have metal fillings on them and that can cause a dodgy input into the computer causing not only your abs but your gearbox to play up since it uses them for vehicle speed if your cars fitted with dcs and I think also even without if fitted with a zf gearbox as your car is change the oil and filter in the box cheers trev

ive been using the atx dx-v1 penrite oil for over 40,000km runing over 300wrkw and so far so good so if your worried about using that oil dont be its been a heap better then the standard crap from what I can see I got my local gearbox guy to do it in warilla nsw he does all the local ford ,toyota and Expensive Daewoo dealer shipwork plus his a great bloke I bought the oil in a 20ltr drum for around 200 bucks or something I think ? from the parts place just down the road from him and I got him to supply the filter and do the labour cost me about two hundred bucks and 100 bucks every time after that to drain the oil and use the same filter although I am up for filter change in the next month or two anyone who wants his details pm me or if no ones going to complain ill post them up ? cheers trev

whats the go with taking photos of highway patrol officers and there cars I got a spending ticket last week and im still pissed about it To cut a long story short ive been seeing a lot of highway patrol cars of late parked in silly places just begging to have photos taken of them and all of them are at the end of 50,70 ,90 zones its making me angry seeing this I mean if these &*%$# are going to pretend to save lives by booking ppl for speeding at least bust ppl going into a lower speed zoneS not coming out of one into 100kph or as I seen today 80kph into 110kph the idoits hide just at the start of the merging lane where the the old princess highway joins from the southern fwy at water fall ive seen these idoits there a few times now its only a matter of time befor someone runs up the ass of the highway patrol car cheers trev
