  1. We are having the Xtreme clutch replaced and am now with the dilemma of what to put in. The more I read the more confussed I am getting. So help me out??? You can see the work and numbers in our sig. left to do is just the exhaust and then cosmetics. It is mainly a 3rd car so not quite a daily driver, it goes to the drags about once a month, I need to be able to drive it as well as Mark and no shudder is what we would prefer. (Grandma wont get in with the shudder and I cant stand her driving or car....) So assuming that the $$'s isn't the question, it is seriously which is better and going to give us what we want. I know what I'm thinking but as my mother so kindly pointed out I'm no car genius. thanks guys Deonie
  2. Hey Drtyboost Did you change your clutch with those mods or are you still running hte stock one??? How is it handling the rwkw's? We have 318 on our sedan and have apparentley wrecked an xtreme clutch after less than 5000 k's. D
  3. Whats the point it don't go!!! Still no word on the "issue" But lowering is on the list just a small set back, (please only be a small set back - its my turn for some track time) D
  4. Didn't think twice about either of you leaving without a good bye(snif snif) We sat down and had a few hot dogs, no probs c yas
  5. Well as you may or may not know the T didn't really like the Mystrey Monday run this week and Mark did something to the clutch. It was booked in for the 19"s today and we decided to put them on before heading straight over to Simon for some unplanned repairs. - Hence the pic not being too good only had the mobile. Will take a proper snap when it comes back. I think they look pretty good. Santa must not have seen what Mark actually does when he drives the car!! Here are the Cheetah rims in Hyper Silver. Will have the springs done after Xmas assuming the clutch problem isn't too much $$$$'s.
  6. Cheers will let you know if it comes to that. I took her in for the 19's anyway(looks a bit high but the $$'s say best have it going before getting it lowered!) and then very carefully went to the tuners. Some bloke from the clutch place was comming to have a gander, and well, we will see what they say. Mentioned the Mal Wood to the tuner and he didn't seem too impressed, any opinions on a phoon clutch? thanks everyone for your input. D
  7. Brendan - Have u spoken to Mark already??? He said the same thing should see if Jas still has his Mal Wood. Glad I kept his number from the last cruise. Have decided to still put the 19's on tomorrow as its not a wheel issue and they'll be done before Simon gets to work. And pain as it may be it isn't 3 months old and I expect a bit more so will wait and see what the Dr. has to say. Aaron - If we picked up the curse last night - I'm coming looking for U!! Do you think Ford will cover it?? D
  8. The clutch is one that Simon suggested... Billed as Billet Flywheel Performance Clutch - Xtreme Clutch... ONe of the guys over here who took it for a spin said it was ceramic. Has a lovely (not) shudder when you take off in 1st if you dont get it 100% right. ( I usually dont if Mark is in the car - somwthing about don't break anything!) Bloody car! That CSC sounds nasty and $$$$ with a name like that. Oh well the joys of living in the fast lane! Hope the tyre guy is OK haning on to the wheels for a week.
  9. Thanks Pat, Marks fine but I'm just stressing, he did let the tyres down to 24(I'm sure that's what he said) what is a CSC and as it's going just sounding like a bit of a time bomb would you drive it about 35-40k's back to Simon (xtreme) he did the clutch and the mods? thanks for your help. Slightly less stressed D
  10. :bash: Mark was driving @ the drags last night until it all went pear shape. Any ideas?????? Part way down his last run he couldn't get into 2nd. I drove home (nicely) and all appeared OK, but took it out today and S^&%, if you put your foot down you can't change gears, but driving like nanna was OK (just went to the shop) until a sound like ripping packing tape off a box and now there is a ticking sound!!!!!- Still drives but I'm not keen to touch it! Anybody have an idea??? Oh yeah and the traction control button broke. ( go Ford you good thing!) So much for the 19's going on tomorrow!! D -(At least Mark was driving so I couldn't be blamed!) P.S. best time on the night 13.1 we really need those M/T's too 'cause she just spun off the line.
  11. My son was so excited before school this morning as he spotted a Red Tornado "F6 270" @ Excelsior Primary School this morning. Isn't this Ben's old ride? D
  12. Quite possible that was us. plates 0CFC95 or else there is another one around here. D
  13. I have to say that after spending 2 weeks looking at rims for our T I think this vehicle needs something with a bit more "WOW" than 1 & 3 and No.2 well tis the season to be jolly and it looks like a snow flake. But then if we all had the same what would be the point of that??? Ya dont want to spend your hard earned on something you wont be happy with..... maybe have another look. But that's just my opinion....... SUre hope I made the right choice!!!!!! D
  14. Thanks Steve!!! I am no photochopper so was hopping that they would look tops. Saw some black ones on a white T yesterday they looked wicked. Not too sure how they will improve the performance?????? I clearly remember saying "We were just doing performance mods" D
  15. They'll be a week or 2 away , apparently they need to come from over East, settled on the Speedy Cheetah in hyper silver. So much to the zorst, the budget has been blown. Although the youngster at the type place is keen to get hold of the old ones, so maybe some creative accounting and I can still get a bit of noise.
  16. tis very quiet. Hey guys I've ordered some 19's for "Mark's car" changing from the stock 17's do I need to get a 19 spare ??? Probably should have checked this out first thanx D
  17. I paid $38.50 for official Ford ones and fitted them myslef ( Girls can do it !!) and now feel better about the celebratory bottle of bourbon. Far cheaper that replacing a lense. D
  18. I must agree that and I didn't find any of the other places to be so keen to explain stuff. Simon is the guy. Get some power ... Just try telling the wife its much more fun... Worked for me. Oh no I was the one that sorted it out.... Deonie
  19. Newl, At this point I would have to ask if you have 1 of several problems..... 1. Do you have tail lights that work. 2. Do you brake safely. & 3. Please submit your driving route 1 week in advance. These are the same questions we asked my Expensive Daewoo driving blonde sister in law after she was rear ended (the car not her) 3 times in 4 weeks. We also asked her to consider handing in her license. Maybe I should ask..... Was it a blue Expensive Daewoo eclipse with a blonde driving?????? Seriously somebody doesnt like you.
  20. Changed noted. Still going cant disapoint the young fella on his birthday, and he'll get so see some other rides. .... Nice one Aaron
  21. Congratulations !!!!!! My opinion.....You should just elope and keep the T...... Deonie
  22. Yep we are still keen and have already got rid of 1 little sprocket!!!! D
