f6 valve springs arent too reliable either.. yeh you will get some that will be sweet and then you will get some that will be absolutely crap. best to add them in to be on the safe side, and you wont have to worry about doing them later on down the track

have seen bf mk11's suffer from valve float before... had a good friend get a custom tune on his mk2 bf ute and he managed 235rwkw before valve float... if valve springs were installed then he should have been looking at around 250rwkw

I usually run my 98 octane drag tune which makes 313rwkw... just in case I get some fool in an import or something pull up and try to race... nothing like beating the skyline brigade sideways!

sweet as... could always have a tune specifically for dyno days that never see's the road but will impress spectators... how come it was tuned in SHOOT_81 instead of 6F?

should be making more power than that with a plenum easy.... I have a friend who made 361 rwkw with a standard plenum... good result anyways dude!!

hey people, just taken posession of my car after the gearbox was rebuilt by Kewish and installed and retuned by Elite Automotive. OMFG the car has improved remarkably!! there was no significant power loss with the 2700rpm stall convertor I had installed.. think I lost 2 rwhp. down from 419.5rwhp to 417.1rwhp... the car stalls up to around 3000rpm(should be able to improve on that with ET's at the strip) with the handbrake on and I love the sound of the turbo spooling while im not going anywhere!!!! im taking it out to willowbank tomorrow night to see what improvements are to be had down the 1/4. im hoping I should see mid to low 11's.. if not I will be happy with anything under a 12.00, as my previous best when the box was on its way out was a 12.11@117mph... flat shifting combined with some ET streets should see you into the low 12's, depending on how well you get it off the line

should have gearbox back in the car by the end of this week or the start of next week depending on how long it takes to get back! will keep you all posted on power loss with upgrading the stall convertor and what I do at the drag strip!!

paul from elite is like that with all of his customers!!!! say you drop it off to get some mods done, later on that same day he is almost guranteed to ring you to ask how your car is going and if you are happy with your car!!!!

I installed the stage 2 process west cooler kit, ubp and pw cross over pipe on detonator1's ute 3 weeks ago.. it took me a lazy 7 or so hours and a few bourbons... we werent in a rush to have it installed and wanted to be a bit cautious! you may have a bit of a hard time with the ubp!!! and I would advise you to use an angle grinder instead of tin snips to do the cutting required for the ubp and radiator support!

I have had my car tuned by elite automotive!!! 312rwkw, 12.11@117mph, my car is in now having the gearbox pulled out for a rebuild!! awesome job with the tune!!! never had a problem with the tune so far!!! and there quality of work is top notch!!!! the way paul and the boys look after there customers is 2nd to none!! paul will go out of his way to sort any issue out that you have with your car!!!! as for people that have had work done by elite, just come out to the workshop and have a look at the 300rwkw club wall!!!!!
