Well I got the car back late yesterday and gave it a look over in their car park and all looked good..... Got home and spent 40mins going over the car, found several things that they will be fixing... I also have a suspicion they didn't replace the front quarter even though it is on the quote. The alignment is still out with the bonnet and door so, unless they just didn't adjust the mounts and just swapped the panels I'm not sure. The rear bumper is way out of whack, and there is some damage to the body inside where the door sits at head level, oh and some missed paint on the lip of the door. The small bit of body kit with the xr6 on it in front of the rear wheel is out to. The bonnet looks great, which I'm glad about. And the front bar looks better than when I bought the car new. All the paint looks great, just a shame the alignments are not right. No rear end klunks or noises either... but I will be giving it another check out tomorrow. I'll be speaking to the insurer tomorrow, but there is no way in fark I'm giving my car up for another 2 weeks. Tell you what, feels GREAT to be back behind the wheel again! Felix

Horn! What P/W kit do you have? How do you have all that power on tap and not punish the bottom end, I would have no hope in controlling myself, doubt I would make it down the road from the shop without breaking something. Must be fun now. Felix

Yeah they did use weld through primer and 'rust proofing'. They also have done a balance and alignment. I figure that I am going to be doing 500km in the next three days after getting it back so I should know if anything is wrong pretty quick. I did change the tune before putting it in, so hopefully it should be all good, but who knows. Felix

I think I'll drag my butt out there, wont race... think it's to soon after crash, I want to enjoy my baby again for a bit. Have a second honeymoon. I reckon I'll just bring the camera and video and just set up for some camera camping! I've still got a credit to use from last year. Felix

Well car is due back tomorrow (fingers crossed), I got a copy of the repair quote today so I could see what work was done. All new panels, which is good. I'm just not sure if they have looked at the noise in the rear, I mate told me even before I drive It I should ask them to jack the rear up and give it a wobble to see if it has any movement. Even if I don't do that I will be taking it straight to a car park and doing some hard right and left lock turns. Hopefully they remembered to do the bonnet to, so no more chips or dents in that! One question, if they disconnected the battery for welding of what ever reason, there wont be any issues with the flasher? It will just be on what ever tune I left it on? I think I'll take some pics tomorrow if its all straight and clean. So exicted, almost as much as when I bought it. Felix

Well it was a good day, even if it was a little windy. Its been about 40 years since Dad flew a Tiger, and he was very nervous. After a slow struggle of a take off into a big head wind they were off. I took plenty of pics, the aerobatics were about 5 miles away and the long lens on my camera couldn't quite snap it. As the plane doesn't have enough grunt to perform the tricks it has to use momentum and washes off about 3500 feet. They did 3 loops, couple of barrels and a couple of stall turns. Looked well fierce from the ground. He had a blast, best 200$ I've spent on a bday pressie. This plane was built in Australia in 1940, but I think it still is a wonderful looking beast. I can highly recommend it... finished the day off with some fish n chips at Sutton's beach watching the kite surfers, they were getting massive air, very entertaining. I used to know someone who thought the same, that no snake was a match for them... They got killed by a scrub python in SA a few years ago. Poor bastard. I've been dealing with snakes since before I could walk. Milked my first Gaboon Viper when I was 6, it ended up killing a keeper at London Zoo. I have alot of respect for snakes, and when I first came here, I found it so difficult to deal with the aussie cock spank idea of 'only good snakes a dead snake'. After having lots of people round to meet my snakes and watch them feed over the last 15 years, I've helped them all to respect these wonderful animals. There is no need to kill them, there are plenty of people who will remove them for free, or a small fee, and since such a large number of people who are bitten are trying to a. be dickhead copycat Irwins, or b. hit the snake with a shovel I say suck sh*t. As for snake vs rat dog, I think it did us all a favor, one less handbag dog in this world. Felix

I have them, came with the 'Ripcurl' pack. I havent tested the waterproofness of them that much, but they have put up with two filthy tradesman pretty well. Last week I got sikaflex all over one, and after some scrubbing and a couple of goes in the washing machine its come up pretty good. As for fit, they look good, nice tight fit and dont shift around or look crap like 99% of covers. Felix

I had a guy come in accusing myself and Expensive Daewoo of false advertising in their adventure TV ad. It showed the car pulling what he said was a 2.5tonne plus boat over big sand dunes... I couldn't contain myself... and as calm as I could told him that in the next scene it shows a guy skiing behind the car on Mars, did he to believe that was meant to be true as wel?? I'm going to go into Citroen and if they cant show me a car that transforms into a robot its court time! Felix
