1. I thought it was a dirty thread and we where talking about Capa's box.
2. Wonder if going back and forth from Adj to Sports to manual and back again would play bad things with the Auto????
3. You got ripped. You should pay around 13.50ish ex GST. each
4. Hey Mr bean. Can't send you a Private message coz your box is full. How did you mount the LCD screen in your car? Do you have any pics you can post or PM me?? Maybe even add me to MSN so we can have a chat about it. I looking to do the same and would love to hear how you achieved this. thanks
5.
BTW, im only after this cooler as i do not wish to modify my car too much.
Ive heard that before. Soon you will have 300-350rwkw like everyone else Pricing as follows for Process West coolers. Stage 1 $850 + shipping stage 2 $1150 + shipping
Hey Danny when does your car go into the Nizpro for a stage 5 kit ?
As soon as everyone pays.
6. Wasn't the engine, so much I was worried about. After going to the tuner and told the Auto settings also need to be set right. If they aren't you can break your auto mainly for the guys with BA's and older. If I compare the way the C&V tune drove and the Capa generic tune but only looking at the way the auto changes. With the c&v generic tune the auto feels the same as the standard tune. But the CAPA generic tune has quick changes and doesn't lag when changing gears. So that's why I tend to beleave the Melb tuner. Plus you have to remember I'm in Melb they aren't so it's harder. Forum is a good place to discuss what I found out and the difference's I found between 2 types of Generic tunes.
7. Thanks Jeff for the reply. Don't get me wrong like I said in first post your service has been outstanding. Whats different with the Capa tune to yours though? The auto shifts right and fast. Plus seem to get more power and less traction. Ute no traction control. What Auto settings do you use? Obviously less noise because it's 8 psi not 10 psi. Bummer that.
8. One thing is for sure. Drove my car today. A good 100km from rowville to St kilda and back. The Capa generic tunes so kicks arse over the C&V tune. It drives smoother down low. Drives harder and shifts nicer. What you do with this info is up to you. this is only what I have found.
9. I'm hoping they do on this thread.. Maybe they can tell us what the issue is and if they do change the auto settings etc.
10. I not saying the C&V tune was bad. I'm just saying others are better. Maybe C&V Dont touch the Auto mapping in the Generic tune or other settings like they do in the Capa generic tune. Any Tuners out there willing to comment...
11. C&V Generic Tune Not so good. Not writing this to flame anyone just to express my experiences. Which is what this forum is about. Got my generic tune from C&V last week. Good service with delivering the box etc. Flashed the 10 PSI.. Seemed ok. Far from what I expect though. (have lots of mates that have tunes). Found that boost came on real late and auto didn't shift right. Seemed like the auto took far to long to disengage the next gear. Few days later. Flashed the 8 psi tune. Seemed to have more down low, less up high but auto didn't shift right and wasn't as quick as I thought it should be. Was a bit worried with the auto changing like it did and we all know the 4 speed Auto's are weak so instead of breaking it I rang a local tuner. I won't name them for obvious reasons. Talked to him for a bit on phone. With the end result being take it in to them so they can look at it. They said no charge at this stage. Cool I thought. Went in there today. They took it for a drive and said this isn't right. Running 10 PSI with the wrong settings would long term damage my auto plus other things. They figured that the auto settings must either be wrong or not touched. They said a Custom tune is the way to go and basically the best way to go with the T's, but he wouldn't recommend I continue to run this tune. They said I was best to run the Capa Generic tunes as they have modified lots of things inc the Auto shift times. This is the problem for the sift problems I've been having. He flashed the box with the Generic Capa Tunes till I can afford a Custom tune. All for no charge. Currently running the 8psi Capa Generic tune. My report is the car goes harder and I'm only running the 8psi Capa tune. Plus the biggest thing you can notice is the auto shifts heaps quicker and doesn't lag on change at high boost. Another big thing I noticed was the power was all through the rev range. So it drives hard from 1st to 4th @ 160km/h. In summary obviously the Generic tunes aren't the way to fly. Good for a quick bit of power but will break something if not done correctly. as for generic tunes, I've found the 8psi capa one is better overall in power than c&v's 10psi one, and the auto shifts hell of a lot nicer too. Be interesting to get other ppl opinions and thoughts.
12. Guys search the forum and the answers to your questions are listed 10 fold. Not sure who your speaking too.. But my suggestion is don't listen to them period. Plus who ever did your work dont go there anymore. Anyone that has done a mods has a capa box and a tune. Best and easiest way to get 240ish rwkw from a standard car.
13. They must have worked out it's stolen coz it off car sales..
14. Ford Australia spokesman Edward Finn said 1000 Falcon owners had experienced ?brake fade? from worn brake hoses, which led the company to initiate the service campaign. I love that brake fade one.. So when I thrash the car it's because of the hose needs fixing not that the brakes are sh*t.
15. Asterix is crap.. Has it's pupose like many thing but as a phone system for a SME customer. NO way. It does alittle but nothing a real phone system can do. Mainly my baby which is the Nortel BCM. It's a PC server with full phone support. Kicks any systems arse. Hey crans add me to MSN.. [email protected]. I'm a Phone tech and run my own company. Crans do you have MSN?? ood idea I wouldn't mind having a chat...
17. Hearing ya there. My car is 20,000 old and brakes where F@$#ed. They reckon it's normal for a car 20,000 km old to need the disc's machining. He goes pads look 50% worn just disc need machining. How much. A few hundred I was quoted from that nob. I said NOPE to that. Went to a local bloke who machined, cleaned and realigned them. $66 dollars. Point made. Use them as little as possible. If something breaks get it fixed properly.
18. Any other thoughts or ideas ??
19. ritzy replied to a post in a topic in General Tech
I would go C&V generic tune until you get more mods done then go for Custom. Least you have box for it and had fun while you save. Just got my box from C&V 2days of using it and happy as pig in sh*t.

22. Thought you'd come up with something better than that.. ROFL I figure i'll just order them from ya at a later stage. Price obviously will be higher but are well what can i do.
