7-7,500 is enough to make that much with a well matched turbo and cam setup. Have a chat to some of the guys who're making big power over here to see what cams they recommend for that sort of thing.

I have a barra to powerglide adapter, what do you all use for a flex plate ? Can someone also tell me about deleting vct

deleting VCT is just a matter of getting the hardware to replace it and getting a competent tuner to work around the lack of VCT in the tune (it's time consuming in the factory PCM)

 

As far as I know about powerglide flex-plates, a lightweight one from somebody like atomic will do the job

I wasn’t sure if there was a way to lock the stock sprockets or if anyone besides atomic sold them
