Does anyone know if side skirts from a 2006 BF Falcon XT sedan fit on a 2004 XR6 BA MKII sedan?

Yes, they do. Don't know why you would want to do it, but go ahead.

The paint on one of my XR6 skirts has really bad peeling.

 

I found a cheap BF side skirt of the same colour.

 

Unless you think there is a cheaper/easier/better way of fixing this (see image below)?

 

repainting seems like a better option to me.

Any idea how I could take the side skirt off the car (in order to make it easier to repaint)?

 

I've looked for YouTube videos but I can't find any that show the removal/replacement of side skirts for BA/BF's.

I've never removed one, so I can't help you there... But it'll probably be glued on and some screws on the edge. Probably some fishing wire and heat to get it off. Personally I wouldn't go through that effort and I'd pay somebody to do it for me.
