Hey k31th thats not good. At least car still runs to get you home today.

I was impressed with your impromptu garage in the motel carpark into the wee hours ...

Turbo is dead

I pointed at your coolant line and it broke later that day, I spoke about not speeding and a cop was just around the corner 20 seconds later and finally I offered to sell you my turbo then yours broke.

Bloody coincidences aye...why couldn't I have just won the lotto instead?

Please tell me you removed the turbo oil  filter

Well, I hadn't pulled the line off to check the filter, but it's had two oil changes since I've owned it for 12,000 kilometres, so it should have been ok if it it's still in there. It's too obvious that the 210,000km of the turbo would have put it near end of standard operational life and the stress of it having no coolant (or very little) for a while would have baked the bearings, by the look of it.

Easy to crack the line and see if it's getting oil.

Yes, I checked, it is getting oil to the turbo. Plus, I've had a failure of a turbo with lack of oil in the past and it did a lot more damage to my turbo haha.

Buy that clutch we were talking about and drop your f6 stuff into the ba.

You need a clutch for the f6 anyway, you need to repair the ba and you need a fast car that is registered.

That's at least 3 birds with one stone.

Or just a cheap 2nd hand BA/F turbo or a FG xr6t turbo plus a few other cheapish repairs.

Whatever floats ya boat man. Get the fg turbo, I think it'd be better for what you are using the car for plus it'd be a bit newer too probably.
