My tuner recommended that the stock heat exchanger will do the job as long as it's changed every 80000km. And what do you mean by pump gears?

Mate a trans cooler in $3-400 fitted. .. I honestly think it will go along way to keeping the box going.

Or wait and see when it fails, then pay 4k to rebuild the auto.

Yer I was going to but the tuner said that they make the zf boxes run funny and to keep it stock? Which is weird coz I read that they work pretty well and where were you getting the cooler setup for $400?

Nah, you'd written "too" but should have been "to"...the mods then took the opportunity for humour and changed it to "two" :) I was just stirring bud, no ill intentions.

Pitlane are running a group buy on the PWR heat exchangers at the moment.

Mine runs fine. You can spec your own cooler and lines plus fittings for under $400.

I paid $220 all said and done.

I bought one last year for peace of mind and got the ZF tuned and a coolant flush at the same time.

I hear a gurgle the first time I start the car or if it's been left a few hours during the day and that's it.

I paid roughly $800 including the braided lines for it and had Monsta Torque here in Wait aWhile fit it all up, I would definitely recommend getting a service done (my car was around the 79,000 mark at the time) as I also noticed smoother shifting from the ZF and less "clunking" when it dropped down gears.

I believe Fraud state the ZF's never need the fluid changed, hence why they are a sealed unit, but iirc most recommend a service every 100,000 K's.
