I suspect that there aren't many replies yet cause this has been asked a few times.

Most people would advise to use the search function at the top right, as it should answer your questions if you do a search.

Here is a thread that discussed the PWR cooler.

I hope you stick around to go on a cruise and create a thread about your ride.

Enjoy your stay and please don't do a runner.

Pwr replacement is the better option. If you're super worried about heat, throw a second cooler at it but seriously, more trouble than it's worth. Stick with the replacement option

There was a time that I would have agree'd with that statement. This is not that time.

Ralph, have you fit this to cool your trans or engine oil?, I thought you were running a PWR trans cooler?

Only ask as I am close to changing my trans heat exchanger (BF2 like the OP) and wonder if this would be a more cost effective option to the pwr and how would you trigger the fan..

Recently fitted one after my PWR cooler took a dump.

( I have a brand new replacement if anybody wants it)

The Derale 15850 has a Thermoswitch and adaptor to trigger fans on/off. I've since found an issue with the car that accounts for the cooler failure but had aleardy bought/installed the Derale in the time it took PWR to examine/respond hence the spare unit.

Looks like a nice piece of gear, where did you buy it from?, and any reason for not fitting it in the 'normal' pwr location?

Oh , and of course, care to enlighten us on the issue with the car you spoke of ?
