Wasn't the XR6T to F6 engine differences only in the BA/BF ?

Where as I thought in FG the Internals are the same between both cars.

I believe there is 3 different rods between the BA/BFMK2/FGF6..

BF got the upgraded rods in the MK2 (or the F6 engine at the time)...

Then the FGF6 got even stronger rods again (not the FG xr6t).

Correct me if im wrong.

I know the bf2 xr6t's got the B series typhoon rods but sounds like the FG's got stronger rods again?

The two have different compression ratio's to start with so there is definitely some differences!!

Ok peeps, FG green top v N/A. What's different internally?

EGAS is the same as BF EGAS. Eco LPI is a bit different. Was told they run 12:1 comp.

You can get a good low k FG N/A runner pretty cheap - like $700. Green tops a little more. I was told they have better valves but if that's not the case you'd just buy the best low k jobbie for a decent starting base. I'm talking for a built engine so rods and pistons are a throw away.

If you are going to build it does it matter if it has better valves as you will probably upgrade them anyway?

^^^ Possibly but you don't hear it mentioned much - maybe exhaust valves. I'm just throwing around some ideas. Whether I just oil pump gears and head stud mine or - buy a donor and build it over time. Really, my trans should be first, lol.
