crazyxa Member 84 Member For: 18y 3m Posted 21/04/15 10:54 PM Share Posted 21/04/15 10:54 PM What do you think happens with the stock exchanger for the first 2-3 minutes ? Worst case is seen in both cooling applications regardless For initial warm up period Only difference is the rate of rise vs time And one won't milkshake ........... EverFlawed logic. ZF with a heat exchanger will be using its cold mapping sequences when it's cold. As you say 2-3 minutes. LOL IN Melbourne on cold morning it will be cold all morning just not 2-3 minutes. In the southern cold climate States no heat exchanger means in winter you could only ever be running the ZF for extended periods under suboptimal cold shift. If I lived in NT, WA or most places up North air to air would not fuss me so much.Anecdotal evidence and blankly saying one solution is better than the other is ill informed.I agree that one solution means no mix of coolant and fluid ever however it s not without its potential side affects. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/90351-checking-zf-oil-for-coolant/page/5/#findComment-1540906 Share on other sites
