Not sure. The RS3 won the latest motor mag tyre shootout. And is one of the most used street/circuit tyres around. I have them on the rear.

I went from wheel spinning a 275 NT05 through 2nd. To zero wheelspin with an R888 that was used on the markers, now new RS3 on the rear. Can't get it to spin at all. I am however making 100rwkw less than you!

You won't regret either the RS3 or R888

Edit: just get the 888. Nizpro tuned 450rwkw means you can afford the best tyre. Haha

Wish it was that easy it's been a long process but the way I see it no point in having all this power and not being able to use it

Maybe look at Pirelli P Zero Corsa System tyres.

They have a 285/35/19 and they have good tread depth and very soft compound. I got 13000km out of them.

New and a hot road gripped well witht the 255/35/19 size

You want a 35 profile for better take offs, 30 profile a bit small

Didn't we have a bet involving the life expectancy of your tires and a grill'd burger?

I have had Goodyear Eagle F1A2 on the back, they gripped in all conditions. Make an awesome front tyre, great handling and pull up fast for emergency braking.

I currently have Michelin PSS 275-30-19 on the back. They take along time to warm up, but on a hot day with ambient temp above 30C and hot bitumen they will grip all the way through second at 450rwkw. However, on a less than 20C day no matter how long I warm them up they just dont grip that well.

Will try the r888 next, but looks like I should move to an 18inch rim for ultimate street grip.

Only problem with 18s is that the widest r888 you can go is the 265mm, because the 18s will have issues with the wider rim even with the control arm spaced in.

I'd like to go 18s again too but I'm looking at 19x10.5 +43 rims with a control arm spacer as Rednose suggested to run a 295 r888 (wider than 305 invo according to Rednose).

Although I guess by that maths a 265 r888 would be as wide as a 275 invo, byt still don't want to take the chance with 500kw haha.

Nope, I had a 275 R888 on my 18x9.5. No problems at all

Oh ok I didn't realise you could get a 275, I thought it went from 265 to 295, maybe that's only in 19inch.

What I was trying to say was you'll have trouble getting a 10.5" 18 under to fit the 295+ tyre

Yes 19" is very limited. Being a Motorsport tyre, not many people will run a 19" circuit racing. That's why I said ideally you want an 18 with a 275. It fits with zero mods with the correct offset.

Being he has a 9.5" wheel. An 18 would let the correct tyre size be used.

Hmm I've been spending way too much time finding a 19" rim in the right offset to fit the 305s with the control blade spacer.. I did find some that are beautiful but have to import from Japan.

Maybe I should go 18x9.5 again and a 275 r888.. tyres are like half the price of 19s..

Any hints on the right offset and if rolling is needed for the r888 being a wide tyre?

I was running 18x9.5 +35 (I think) D1Rs before with a 275 invo no worries
