Turbo Side - Pod Size

Quick question

Getting a new tune next week and I can get a 9" long 4" KnN pod for $70 and wondering whether its worth replacing the 6" long pod my turbo side came with?

Anyone actually had a retune after a bigger filter and noticed any difference?

I had an increase from crossover to turbo side but I don't think pod size matters too much

Is the pod filter you already have good quality. If not then get the replacement K & N. If they are both K & N I wouldn't bother.

Current filter is KnN and excellent condition. Ill just stick with it!

Will be a direct comparison of 2 tuners that way also

Which turbo side box have you got? PW or Plaz? Interesting that there would be that much extra space available lol

I'm missing the pod in setup (and also the silicone to the turbo/clamps)....and asked plazmaman for replacement parts + postage and came to $181. I'm thinking I might be able just to source a pod from ebay or something....then I will only need the one silicone piece.

So when searching all I would need is

a) 4" inlet and

b) 9" length ?

and obviously 'cone' design/shape (I think there's a proper name for it on the K&N website but forgot the 'term' they use).

When I made mine I just ordered off k&n directly and the pod was only around 50 buck delivered and come from canada.

That's kind of my plan now....I was just gunna buy one straight off fleabay cause cheaper....I just wanted to confirm best sized cone to put in.

I guess I will just measure the airbox space/look for a pic of a plzamaman turbo side intake with the lid off?

I have a rapid kit, can squeeze the 9" long filter in, plaz is the same (mate has one) but not 100% sure on PW but I believe it has a shorter filter

Just looked at your link and noticed it says (non genuine)....since when the fark do they sell fake K&N filters :/

that's BS....cause if you look at the picture they clearly have K&N stamped on the top of pod, looks like the same material and even has the same freaking box!!!!

That sucks, cause I bet it would be pretty easy to pay a premium price for a fake one (if ebayer was not honest) it even has a part number on the box which I will try and research later to confirm if its a genuine number....

I wonder if they would both perform the same?
