BA Engine Control Management/ POSSIBLE REPROGRAMMING CAPABILITY

Hello there,

I am calling on on BA Falcon owners to see if I can get a lending hand as we might have a break through with E.C.M. reflashing capablility.

What I require if possible is a photograph of the tag that is stuck on the side or top of the Engine Control Module, or any other identification on the ECM.

If you don't have a camera then a detailed explaination of what is written on there would be good.

Also with this info could you tell me what Year/ Month and Body and Engine/Drivetrain combination you also have.

This info will help to let me know just how many catch codes are out there. Please send any info to me at [email protected]

All I can say at this stage is....

GIVE THE POWER TO THE PEOPLE..

Thanx

Barry

Exactly what he's saying is:

There's a possibility for the development of a software tool that will let people change the operating parameters of the factory ECU withou using a piggyback unit.

This would be a huge boost to the tuning industry.

I guess it would be similar to either EEC-Tuner (if EEC Tuner does what I've been told it does) or LS1 Edit or the old Kalmaker....

Excuse my ignorance, is the ECM the sealed box with the alloy cover over it on the passenger side of the engine bay?

Hi guys,

Yes, you would be able to reflash using a hand held tool, change any parameter/map/scalar you want.

All in the stock ECM.

Bit bit scary really.

WTF?

:ta:

I know that it's a secret little american doodad gizmo, because Bazza told me when he put the T induction pipe into the GT, for my 2 cents worth its good to see somebody out there who has knowledge, Ford passion, and honesty. Before I bought my GT, I drove Dennis McInerneys Herrod improved GT with a view to buying it. It has all the Herrod gear on it, Chip, exhaust etc. Barrys number 11 Blueprint GT has an exhaust system, cold air mod, and underdrive pulleys. No Chip and no other gizmos, I've also been in Barrys car and it would blow the bloody doors off Mc Innerneys. This guy knows what he's doing and you don't have to mortgage the bloody house to get the good gear. Barry also keeps all of his before and after dyno charts from mods done to his own car. No I don't work for him and I'm not related either, just good to see an interested talented and honest mechanic out there :grininvasion:
