  1. I have just been told that both the tailshaft centre bearing & diff mount bushes are gone in my FG F6. They will not be coverd by warranty because of the power upgrade I have. Ford wants a fortune to replace them and have even told me that they need to replace the entire tail shaft even though only the centre bearing is gone. Has anyone in Sydney had this work done? What sort of cost and where can I get the work done? Car is still drivable at the moment but the vibes will get worse so I need to get the work done a.s.a.p. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I Am In!

I bought my FG F6 2 weeks ago. I new it had some mods but was not sure what they were. It was bought from a dealer who had some history but no detail. I took it to Castle Hill Exhaust today and Dale put it on the dyno. The result was 320rwkw. After talking to Dale, I will be aiming for 350rwkw in the not too distant future. It has been a few years since I last owned a Ford turbo, I am glad to be back.
  3. What was the warranty term offered by FPV for a 2008 F6?
  4. What exhaust systems is Mufflerman talking about?
  5. For anyone with a Remus system, how much did you pay?
  6. Anyone had 15k service done at Power Ford Castle Hill. Mines due soon. How much did you pay?
  7. Mines a manual and it has stalled on 2 occasions when coasting to a halt at lights. Worse is that on 2 occasions I had trouble starting the car and once it was started it would run like a crippled dog for about 3 mins. When the car had it's 3000km service I pointed this out but was told that no error codes were logged. Then the other day the car would not start initially, then when it did it ran so rough ir was nearly undrivable. I had to leave it on the side of the road and get someone to give me a lift so I could make an appointment. When I returned to pick up the car and take it to the dealer ( 6 hrs latter), it started 1st go and didn't miss a beat. The dealer ran a diagnostic on it and came up with nothing. This happened 6000kms since the previous time. Any clues anyone?
  8. Got mine working today and I have a few questions. When the engine is off the needle sits at 0. When the engine is idleing the needle sits at about 7 o'clock, way past the 10 in the vacum area. Under hard acceleration the needle wizzs around to about 7 or 8 PSI, but I thought the car had a max boost of 6PSI in standard form. Can anyone shed any light on this for me.
  9. Thanks for that tip Zeke. I've got it though now and it only took me about 5 mins.
  10. Got mine delivered on Friday, thanks to YCL for organising. Colour match looks perfect. Installation looks simple on paper but I have just spent the last 45 mins (unsuccessfully) contorting my body trying to feed the conection through from the gauge down the back of the dash. Any tips, I can't get it to go where it needs to.
  11. Excuse my ignorance, is the ECM the sealed box with the alloy cover over it on the passenger side of the engine bay?
  12. I agree, I sent an email to Battens and was quoted $445. At $350 I was keen, any dearer and I have lost interest.
  13. Sounds great, if we can get GT-P to reply with a price on the forum so everyone knows, there should be few orders forthcoming.
  14. OK, I'm in for one. 10psi, manual I am in Sydney, do I need to PM someone to confirm details and payment?
