July 23, 201412 yr #1 Hi everyoneI have recently bought myself a 2013 G6E Turbo in petroleum with black leather interior. I have to say that I can see what all the fuss is about - I am in love with this car.I have just done a window tint and heavy duty tow package and am about to do an audio upgrade. I don't want to mod the engine too much until factory warranty runs out (although the PW intercooler group buy is tempting) and am now looking to do an LSD.If anyone has some valuable info or pros and cons on which LSD to run I would be forever greatful. I spoke to Trish from Award Diffs in Seven Hills, Sydney and she asked me a bit about the mods I had planned and what I wanted from the car. When I explained that I may look at some track days and some runs she suggested the Kaaz over the Truetrac. Does anybody have any input on this? Also if anyone in Sydney can recommend any good tuners for the G6E.Thanks in advance and look forward to the threadAndrew
July 23, 201412 yr #2 CmsCms Cms The who's the best tuner always turns into a big pissing contest so it's a bit dangerous. Cms and Autotech have great reps. The trutrac seems to be what most luxo barges go to for in an LSD but I haven't heard much about the kaaz. Currently I'm at 440rwkw in my barge with a single spinner and yeah its not pretty but it works well just no skids for me. Definitely go the PW while you still can. They are a great cooler and priced well with ratters group buy. Poke around on the build threads to work out what exactly you want. Plenty of info on there and feel free to shoot most of us a PM. I know I'm more than happy to talk some s#$t about my car and mods.Welcome to the club mate I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. It's always good to see more limos getting around
July 23, 201412 yr #3 Welcome Andrew. When you get a chance, put a pic of your new car up for us please.LSD:There is a thread in the G6 section about the pros and cons as well as members personal ideas and preferences regarding an LSD in the G6 so have a read of this thread when you get a chancehttp://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79747-g6et-lsd-or-no-lsd/another bit of info is here http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/87676-true-trac/Personally, I just (cupla months ago) had a TrueTrac installed along with new bearings and cradle bushes simply because every other car I owned when I was younger that had the same sort of power that the stock G6ET puts out had an LSD and as the car was being modded to 320rwkw, it made sense to me.As I'm sure you are aware, problems such as noise can be a pain with some diffs but my TruTrac is dead silent, very smooth and works the instant it is needed.Tuner:I'm glad you asked about tunas in Sydney (in general) and not the closest to your suburb as alot of people do coz it is better to take these cars to the best -- not just the nearest. I drove 1500km return to get my car tuned.
July 23, 201412 yr #4 Welcome Andrew You've came to the right place. Plenty of info here and lot of knowledge within. As always it comes down to the all mighty $$$ and what you think is best for your style of driving. Also we know the saying you pay for what you get. But cheap you get cheap and more likely to something f*@king up.Tuners go in and have a chat and you will know who you'll pick for me its Kev at CMS. I'l yet to mod but will be soon just sorting out my house first. Also have a look at upgrading the brake mate well worth every cent. Im running DBA4000's T3 on Bendix Street Road Track Anyway enjoy your stay and we hope to see you on some cruises, just need a good CC...........lol.

July 24, 201412 yr #8 Very nice mate, I have a mk1 in silhouette. I'm sure you will develop a love hate relationship with the colour...and the piano black icc....and the dark carbon fibre style inserts....At least you got the black interior, cashmere looks so good but would have to be hard work. +1 for trutrac, its definitely on my list, so over single peggers and unpredictable behaviour. The kaaz and the trutrac work a bit differently, there is some good info on their relative websites. Edited July 24, 201412 yr by barnz
July 24, 201412 yr #10 I was told by Wavetrac that their LSD for our diffs should be released end of August. If you can hold off and can afford the little extra I reckon that'd be the way to go.
