Yeah I did a mix of work myself

Pump and injectors and IC done by tuner and exhaust done by an exhaust shop but 1st cooler and piping, battery relo and turbo side done by me

If I had my way again I'd do the exhaust and my second cooler

So budget is +/- $5k?

Is your parts list fixed?

Or the end result?

If you haven't got your heart set the the bits you're listing I reckon you'd be able to get the 330rwkw out of the car from a decent tuner within budget.

Would you have any recommended package Mick that would hit the 330 within budget?

A lot more pride when it's done by you

but if you dont do your research, and work hand in hand with your tuner, it can be a friggin lot more expensive too

sorry to burst your bubble but...............

5 grand WILL NOT get you 10 points in ANY section on the show circuit

I spent 30+ on a HQ back in the 80's and only got 1 10 pointer................devo...............but still fun

Got an email back from a well known tuner in sydney and this is what it said

Hi Matt

The cost to supply and fit the injectors is $990. The cost to custom tune your vehicle on the dyno is $880. To fit the intercooler kit and the battery re location kit is $880. Fit fuel pump is $165.

Also asked for a price break down on parts and he has added at least 10% on top of what I can get it for.

This is just for an FYI

O h I dint mean show car is in top of the line, im talking neat and tidy and clean that you cna take to local shows

This is only my performance budget, other stuff is already purchased

Mate businesses are always going have some type of mark up on parts they supply.

There are pros and cons for each.

If you supply the parts, it will work out a bit cheaper.

But, if one of the parts is faulty or wrong the responsibility comes back on you.

If the workshop supplies the parts it comes back on them to chase it up or get the right part.
