Ok so im looking to get up into that 600hp / 130mph territory on e85 and your telling me I would need to budget for pump changes every nine months or so if chose to run e85 full time (car is a daily). Alternatively if I run e85 for drags and track days I still need to allow for pump changes at some point. Hmmm. I liked the idea of no external tank but don't know about semi regular pump changes.

Unfortunately, regardless of the type of fuel system you run eg intank or surge tank, the pumps are the limiting factor to run E85 solely.

As mentioned most so called E85 pumps have proven to fail after a time period. Bosch put 500 hours only on their 044. It is a problem that effects all systems.

The other factor is often the fuel quality changes from place to place and period to period affecting life cycle.

As mentioned previousely , we have initiated Bosch Motorsport Australia to source a 100% E85/Ethanol compatable fuel pump to support all our systems.

Until then we are bound by quoting a limited time on the pumps if utilised for E85 only.
