Hey guys, first post here. I bought an fg xr6 turbo ute a week ago and I'm loving it so far! I found a switch the day I picked it up on the steering column near the ignition barrel. It looks like a light switch, but I have no clue what it's for or what it does. I can't find it in the manual or any reference to it on google or here. Can anyone help as to what it is?

Thanks,

Lindsay

Did your ute once have a hard cover? Could it be the old locking switch for hard cover?

That's a good point that I hadn't thought of, but I'm pretty sure it had a soft top from factory.

Small black plastic switch? I had that in the steering column in my BA and I never found out wtf it did

Yep, it looks like a little black light switch. It's driving me insane not knowing what it is!

^^^^^ this guy knows

They are a chip installed (nobody knows exactly who installs them ie factory, dealer, police officer) to signifigantly improve performance. They also do a brilliant job of increasing market value.

Some people alledge they dont exist. These people are just jealous because they dont have one.
