He did a nice paint job though.

He seemed legit on ebay. Soon as I questioned him about the turbo he arked up and got really defensive. He said it was brand new. I know its deffinatly not brand new, the problem here is I paid NEW pricing. Not refurb pricing and I asked him about this and said if I contacted him again he would report me...hahah I didnt even say anything rude.

I just told him straight forward I will get MTQ to confirm the authenticity and the state (new, refurb, old) and put it in a letter head and PDF it to me. Make a claim on paypal and simple as that. if he doesnt pay me paypal insurance will.

Its funny, forum classifieds are always about trust and from one car guy to another I have never had any issues and ive probably spent and sold 10-20k each way on forums.

But ever 25% of the time on ebay and you get crap like this.

The cages are plastic if I recall Ralph's pic and the technical details correctly. That looks like a cage but metal? But I really have NFI :)

Its hard to tell from the photos what is going on. It looks like a genuine Ford turbo. It is a ball bearing turbo but then has some marks on the housing and centre section that look sus.

Best to get it checked out close up.

Is that paint on the compressor cover or just looks like paint. If its paint anywhere you should be able to scrape it off.

I emailed mtq late last night with some questions and they sent me a reply asking for the pictures early this morning.

They will be completing work on the turbo when my Kinugawa parts come in anyways.

I'm getting them to put their findings in a letter head and pdf it to me so I can send to eBay dispute if needed. I believe it's a Ford gen turbo rebuilt. But we will find out soon. See what mtq says
