  • Been a while since I've been on here. Is there any chance of a cruise near the end of Sept? Itching to drive the XR again after an extended break :chalk: Somewhere after the "27th of Sept". :party

f*ck the carts...I'm gonna eat me some PIE!

IF I can fit in <seriously> ...I'd be down for sure but being only 5'10" but weighing in at 22Stone...Id say the chances are it's a no :(

Darlington park kart track sucks, it's built in a gully & the karts don't have enough stick for the uphill bends.

The bigger the person the worst the time (like an 18 plus stone person will be lapped every session)

If the layout was flatter, weight wouldn't factor as much!

I'd look for a different track!

If you think the Karts at Darlington Park are a bit on the slow side there are 2 other options worth looking at. Kingston Park Raceway which has 4 stroke karts but track is much flatter and have heard they have really got their act togeather down there. Also there is Archerfield Speedcarts which have 2 stroke carts which go quite well and are at a new location on the oposite side of the airport and the new track(s) are awsome. They have 2 tracks there that can be linked togeather for 1 big track.

If you ask me it doesn't really matter too much, it will just be good to get out and have a fang!

I've been on Kingston Park, Archerfield, and Willowbank karts, but not Darlington Park's.

So tell ya what. I'll head out there for a burl (anyone wants to come please le tme know), and if the karts can handle my frame, I'll proceed with the plan.

Otherwise, yeah, I'd be looking at Willowbank, as the Archerfield track is way too small, as is the Kingston Park layout.
