Yep, really average stack too, I'm surprised he suffered such fatal injuries as a result of how he went in.

RIP A.S.

Strong and selfless of the family to insist that the team keep racing too, the team boss was about to pull all 4 cars out of the race out of respect

Pretty epic, and very sad, doesn't look like a major crash, rear end steps out and spins, mustn't be a great barrier that he hit, must have taken the full brunt of the impact on the drivers side.

RIP very sad for his family.

I heard the commentator say, the rumour is there was a tree hard up to the back of the metal Armco, so no give at all

Ok wow yeah a tree wouldn't have much give, there been deaths at Le Mans before but surely that shouldn't happen.

Side impact really is the worst, not much to take the impact but the driver.

It's Motorsport of course there may be death involved, you can do what you can to prevent it but at the end of the day its cars driving at over 200km/h......it's the first death at Le Mans in about 16 years though.

Aston Martin have blacked out their web page in honour with a statement that the family specifically wished for them to continue with the race in tribute to Alan.

Fark. Almost looks like there must have been steering failure or something the way he speared-off.

Looks like the car got out too wide and once it was on the blue paint is bucked sideways.
