Just wondering what would cause a knocking sound when braking at low speeds (only time I can hear it) in forward or reverse. sounds like it is coming from the front drivers side wheel area. Could it be a loose caliper as I had rotors and pads done 1500 kms ago?

any help would be great

car is a bf2 f6

Is it a single knock when you start braking or continuous knocking while braking?

It could be the pad shifting forwards and contacting the caliper on the initial application of the brake. It is an annoying noise but isn't really an issue. If your calipers have the stainless springs to hold the pad you can remove them and put a bend back in them to hold the pad still again.

What brakes are fitted to it? Brembo's or PBR's? If PBR's your caliper slides could be worn, If brembo's your retainer pins could be bent, your pads springs may have lost tension or your pad contact pads inside the caliper could be worn/missing.
