SipposBFT Member 81 Member For: 17y 1m 12d Posted 08/04/13 10:09 AM Posted 08/04/13 10:09 AM was this noise over stuttery bumps...with most of the noise obvious on the up travell? Ive got the same traits on mine (BF2T)... hav also changed everything except front controll blade bushes...ill check the bearings & Hubs. Only thing that differs to mine is that my noise tends to be on both sides...but more so on my passengers side

jas98 Member 1,053 Member For: 14y 2m 10d Gender: Male Location: Maryborough Qld Posted 09/04/13 12:36 AM Author Posted 09/04/13 12:36 AM at the time there "seemed to be some play " in them, but now that there off they seem fine, so ill regrease em and keep em as spares lol as I already brought the new onesaltough I have no idea if there still the original though
SipposBFT Member 81 Member For: 17y 1m 12d Posted 01/05/13 10:29 AM Posted 01/05/13 10:29 AM Def not shocks Jas... I replaced the standards with Billies... along with all the bushes & knuckle joints @ the same time... imagine the frustratiion when the noise was still there!!!!! Was hoping it was the shocks as there was minor play in the standard bushes. My mate who used to work @ Peter warrens says the drop links can also produce movement over time & ill give these a check as well...man I love my car...but theyre a pain in the rear...pun intended ...

SipposBFT Member 81 Member For: 17y 1m 12d Posted 02/05/13 11:51 AM Posted 02/05/13 11:51 AM yeah..think sum call them rose joints... pedders call em knuckles... no didnt replace blade bushes... they assured me they dont cause knocking noises... was very minor play in them... but not enough to warrant changing... how did you find the play in the wheel bearings? Leaver the wheel side to side?
jas98 Member 1,053 Member For: 14y 2m 10d Gender: Male Location: Maryborough Qld Posted 03/05/13 03:40 PM Author Posted 03/05/13 03:40 PM (edited) Well, when I had car jacked up there was no movment in wheel bearings but after I undon the large nut you could tell there was way more movement then there should have been, im guessing when the weight is on teh bearings it made it show the play...if that makes sence.alls I know is the control blade bushs were brand new makay branded oem style, but then still did not like how the rear end was handling so decided to change the control blade bushs again with whitline ones and wheel bearings.and it stopped makeing any knocking sounds. and firmed up the arse end nicely also the OEM control blade bushs are known to cause knocking sound, there a sh*t desighned bush from factory, have too much of a void in them, if you can update them to whitline etc, even if it dont cure the knock you will be glade you did it!!! trust me Edited 03/05/13 03:41 PM by jas98
