Noise From Diff At Wheel Spin? Need Help

hi all im am new to forums and would like to find out why my diff makes alot of noise on wheel spin, I have an fg xr6 turbo manual 2011 with only 12,000ks every time I get wheel spin in the wet or dry I get a really loud noise from the diff as if its bouncing or something like the term (axel jump) but I noticed if I really get the wheels spinning quick in 2nd gear the noise is not there?

Axle hop. Good set of shocks will help reduce this.

its axle tramp try to get it fixed eg grippy tyres or better shocks as its quite bad for your diff,cvs and driveshafts and will break one or all of them eventually roots your diff bush too lol

Also try reducing tyre pressures to around 28-32psi, fixed tramp in a bf f6 sedan by doing this

More power fixed mine, standard it used to tramp very easily, first mods (around 300rwkws) fixed it and no more axle tramp in the dry, would only tramp in the wet in first gear.

Then fitted koni shocks and king springs, this stopped it tramping in the rain.

Get the torque arm bushings replaced with poly bushes. That is where the lack of control is.

Sounds like your diff bush is on the way out

Yeh mate, I got da same problemo. Accept myne happans wen im in 3rd and 4th with wheels spinon. Lots of noize.
